What a beautiful night for a Friday night  cruise, especially since you have been out sick for a month. As you know I (Bill), had a triple by-pass and a valve replaced. We are back tonight for the first time after the operation. It is so good to be back again with all our cruiser friends and Friday night family. We want to thank Old-Town, our great staff and all our cruiser friends who stood by us and prayed for us. They are too many to mention by name but you all know who you are. We love you all and may God Bless each and every one of you.

We arrived around 2:00 o'clock and Ralph and Shirley were already there to greet us. Stan and Maryann came in next with their 2005 diesel Jeep. His Pacer needs a carburetor. He has already found one but it is just a matter of getting it put on. Tom Coupe was back with his green truck after being off for awhile. He also has health problems too. So pray for him.

It is good that Pep and Nancy, good friends of Old Town, have acquired a Friday night cruiser. This dark Blue beauty is a 1991 Ford LX Mustang. It is a neat convertible with a black top. It is a very nice cruiser indeed. We welcome you to our family of Friday night cruisers.

We had some special visitors with us tonight. The Camaro Club came in
to show their beautiful cars. This club also invited all Corvettes and Chevrolets to join them. Allan and the crew did a very good job with the parking arrangements.

One of our capable crew (Gary) has got a new toy to cruise with us on Friday night. This black custom HHR LT was purchased in January, The custom work was done in Jacksonville by GM Sherrod. We will have more on this cruiser later on. It was good to see Ward back, his wife Marilyn just got over pneumonia. Doug Stewart stopped by to say hi and visit. The Loosers were in their favorite spot. It is always good to see them out. Jon and Angie came by to welcome us back. It is good to be back with all our friends.
We found this 1983 Olds Cutlass Cruiser, owned by Gary and Linda Best. It is burnt orange and white, he is the second owner, this car only had 69,000 miles on it when he acquired it. They are visiting his Mom and their daughter here in Florida, They are from Arizona, so remember where ever you are from,
stop in and cruise with us if you can. You may be glad you did.

Our cruiser for the month of February is Tony Baugh from St. Cloud with his Corvette.

See you all next week.

___________Bill & Doris

Ted's Report.

This February Friday started out with good weather, high clouds, warm temperatures, and even a comfortable breeze. The warm weather brought out a good showing of spectators & cars. We had a total of 156 cars, a very good showing for this Friday. I was honored with being able to park right under the "Old Town Clock" this evening. An honor that made me give a few more wipes of the rag, to get things just right. I met with Tony Baugh, ie. (Loser #2), who is the "Friday Nite Cruiser of the Month", with his "Shiny Black" '94 Chevrolet Corvette T-top coupe, putting the final touches on his car as well. While speaking to him, it was hard to ignore the "Big" smile on his face. Congratulations to Tony.

As the evening progressed, more spectators & cars started to stream in regularly. "Eckler's Classic Chevy Show" was at Old Town this weekend. There was about every kind of Chevy model there, you could imagine. While waiting in line, several two tone, '55 & '57 Belair's did rumble in loudly. Most of blocks 3 & 4, plus the field behind "Kids Town" was filled with Chevy cars & vendors for the show. Between the classic car show & Friday night cruisers, the crowd seemed to have a good selection of cars to look at this evening.

The highlight of the evening, was probably after the cruise was done, when everyone was at the stage for the nightly drawing. An 8 year old girl was chosen to draw the numbers. Allan tried to get the girl to smile & she would not. She was asked where she was from, and replied "I'm from New York", He had asked her where she lives & she replied "I have lived in Florida for 5 years", Allan replied "so you are from Florida", she responded "No, I'm from New York". Allan said "she was tough as nails, and I couldn't get her to crack a smile for nothing". First time I saw Allan throw his hands up, in mock frustration, and walk away. I think he met his match with her. Again, no one won the Cruise-0-Matic, even after extra numbers were pulled. So the total goes to $600.00 next week.

During the evening, I finally saw Bill at Old Town, he was in good spirits. And he said he was doing very well, and recovering nicely after his surgery last month. It was great to see him, and he made his rounds to see everyone this evening. He Thanked everyone for their good words, and cards, while he was recovering at home. Its nice to have all our Cruisers, at Old Town, and when one of our cruisers has trouble, fellow cruisers are first to step up & help out as needed. Cruisers are a breed that take care of their own, and I am proud to be part of Old Town, & the Cruisers on Friday Night. Thank You Old Town for my extended family.

Hope to see everyone next week....

Stan & Maryanne's Report....

It was a beautiful night for a cruise. The sky looked like it was going to rain, we lucked out. It was a very nice clear night. It was good to have Ralph and Shirley out with us. It was a surprise to have Bill and Doris with us tonight, they did not stay for the cruise but it was nice to have them in their usual spot on the bricks.

I met a gentleman from Indiana, he was here from Fort Wayne with a group of seniors visiting our fair state. They are leaving on Monday to go back to the cold weather.

The 50/50 of $79.00 went to Doug Cain tonight. Thank You to all who bought tickets to help people here in Osceola County.

The Cruise-O-Matic tonight was $575.00 with no takers. Joe pulled 7 numbers with no luck next week it will be up to $600.00.

There was a large crowd out tonight hope everyone had a good time this week, we had 156 cars tonight along with a whole lot of Chvey's here with the Chevy Show that started yesterday, they will be here all weekend.

We want to thank Old Town for having the cruise every week, all the merchants for their part in the cruise and thanks to our staff for another safe and enjoyable Friday Nite Cruise.

Hope to see everyone next week.
Stan "the Pacerman" & Maryann
