The weatherman handed us a nice present tonight. We had a
beautiful, warm, dry evening for our Friday Night Cruise. By 5 O'clock
we had a full line of our regular early birds. Some regulars were
missing tonight. We hope all is well with them. Some of our regulars
that we have not seen in awhile were back with us. Ryan Fontaine was out
with his beautiful 89 Cadillac. He had to put a new motor and
transmission in it. This beautiful cruiser is used as a daily driver and
very well taken care of. Due to his work schedule, Ryan can only be with
us every 6 weeks. Also Ray Kissel was back with his 2001 GMC Jimmy. Ray
is a member of the Internal Vibrations Club. We sympathize with him, he
just lost his Grandfather. We think he will be back as a regular now.
Jose and Ellen were out visiting tonight. His white Corvette isn't ready
for showing yet. Ken Keel, one of our former regulars was just visiting
tonight. We hope he gets his cruiser in shape and come back. Although,
not a cruiser, Becky, Buzz's cute little blond friend was out to visit
tonight. We miss all these friends when they are not with us.
Some of the Sunshine Minis Club were out tonight. We talked to Marc
Himmelwright, from Clermont, he bought his 2005 blue and white Mini in
September. It is good seeing these young folks buying something
sensible. Marc informed this company was bought by BMW. Ann and Alan
Stern had their son Anthony and his 1990 black Pontiac Trans AM out to
show. These cars were made for the Smokey and the Bandit series. They
think only 90 of these cars were produced, due to failure of the series.
This black beauty was No. 77. Most were 6 cylinders but this one is an
8. James and his girlfriend were out cruising but his mom and dad
went to Pa. to see some friends. We miss Debbie and Tim and hope they
have a safe trip back home. Allan, we missed you at the stage tonight.
Joe does a good job but he just could not give our cruise-O-Matic away
tonight.
We want to thank Allan, Dave, Gary, Esther, Nikki, Lee and all our great
staff for a job well done. Also all our sponsors and Old Town for the
privilege to show our beautiful cruisers. Any Friday come out and meet
an old friend or make a new one. Our 50/50 or $56.00 went home with
lucky no. 19963. We had 154 vehicles to cruise the brick streets of Old
Town.
See you all next week.
