Friday February 15th, what a beautiful night for a cruise
at Old Town with all our friends. It is so good to be back for a full
night of cruising. We want to thank all our friends for their support.
We arrived early, no wolfman tonight, Sue is having her knee repaired.
Tom Coupe with his green truck came in followed by Stan with his jeep,
his Pacer is still under the weather. Joe Ness, Palbo and Nilda, and Don
& Jackie rounded out the early birds. Bert and Lavern brought our news
letters and we do thank them for that.
Dave Garceau got rid of his Chevy Silverado but he acquired a 2007 HHR.
He has put a lot of modifications on this little gray beauty. So he will
be cruising with us on Friday nights as usual.
We met Don and Mary Powell, who are snowbirds from Michigan. They have a
2006 Chevy SSR pick-up roadster. This Slingshot Yellow Cruiser is
powered by a 400 H.P. Corvette engine. These vehicles were hand crafted
in Lansing Michigan and the last ones were made in 2006.
It was great to see Ike and Nancy out with their Corvette after Ike's
stay in the hospital with double pneumonia. He is looking fine and hope
he has recovered. Richard and Becky dropped by to visit with us. Ward
and Marilyn was back with his truck. Marilyn also was in the hospital
with pneumonia but is doing fine now. It seems like this is the year for
pneumonia.
Tony Baugh is cruiser of the month for February. Looser one was parked
next to him. Doug was out, just to socialize and did not cruise. Pat and
the Chrysler gang were in their spots. Debbie and Tim along with James
were on block one tonight.
To set one thing straight, Allan has assured us that any 1973 and 1974
models can either choose Friday or Saturday night cruise, but not both.
We had one bad incident two weeks ago, after the cruise someone broke
the hood ornament off of Mr. Pontiac's car. We don't need people like
this in our cruise. Don't forget Sunday March 30th, Lights and
Beyond are having their night light glow show. If you like lights this
is the place you want to be. A two night stay at Oak Regency, a resort
behind Old-Town was won by cruiser 302. One cruiser did not claim his
flag and the oil was won by cruiser 318. Our 50/50 $60.00 went home with
Debbie. She bought 3 tickets.
Joe tried 8 times to give away the cruise-O-Matic but failed. Thanks
again to
Old-Town and our great staff for another safe cruise. Also happy
Birthday Nikki.
See you all next week.
