It was a cool nite
at Old Town on Friday, and most of the spectators and cruisers were
grabbing for their jackets at the end of the nite, There was a good
crowd of spectators this Friday. I am helping out for Bill & Doris this
Friday, due to his health. We got an update about Bill, He is finally at
home resting, and doing well. We all at Old Town missed him and Doris,
and hope he gets better soon. A lot of prayers and a few "Get Well Soon"
cards have been sent to Bill & Doris, hopefully they helped Bill know,
he is greatly missed by all and all are looking forward to his and
Doris' return to the Friday Nite Cruise.
I
am still learning everyone's names, & faces, But most of the usual
cruisers were in their regular spots & were enjoying the evening. The
Dodge Charger Club had most of block 4 filled with a multi-color showing
of Chargers there. Plus the Sheriff's Office, White Charger under cover
car was there displaying its LED lights for the crowd, at first I
thought it was a accident or something police related, 'til I got closer
to see it was a display of the car itself, not any trouble.
"Mustang
Mike" filled in as DJ this evening, and did a great job making
announcements, plus playing a great choice of music, I found myself
tapping my feet and shaking my booty a couple of times during the
evening. There was a good cross section of cars there as well, most of
the bricks were lined up with '80's & '90's vehicles, stunningly great
looking cars. you could see a lot of spectators admiring the older cars
in great condition.
The
evening started out slow, but by 7:30, the cars and spectators were
streaming in at a regular pace. The cool weather did not seem to slow
down anyone, in fact it seemed to invigorate all who showed up. The
total for Friday was 133 cars, a good showing for Friday night I suspect
as the weather gets warmer, the Friday night crowd will grow. No one won
the Cruise-O-Matic this evening, even after an extra number was pulled
either, so the jackpot grows again to $550.00 for next week. Just a
reminder to everyone, the parking spots next to the stage are reserved
for Flag Winners, after the cruise. Please try to remember
that, when you roll back around from the cruise to re-park.
Hope
to see everyone next week.

Here is Stan
the "Pacerman"s report
After a very windy start to the day, the wind died down and it was a
very nice evening for our Friday Nite Cruise. It was good to hear our
friend and fellow cruiser Bill Moore came home from the hospital.
We welcome Ray Kissel and his 2001 GMC Jimmy back cruising after a year
away. We had a total of 9 new cruisers with us tonight. Please
welcome them when you see them, they are:
Chris Gano with a 2007 Chevy Cobolt
Steve and Cathy Lade with a 1983 Caprice Classic
Tim Lawer with a 1987 Corvette
Matthew Kilmar with a 2007 Dodge Charger
Alexis Padilar with a 1977 Mazda
Jordan Miller with a 1977 Chevy Malibu
Janelle Figueroa with a 2001 Jag
William Peterson with a 2005 Dodge Magnum
Richard Mounier with a 1996 Nissan
We had 133 cars on this Friday night with no rain and Topaz was the band
for our live entertainment tonight. Joe pulled 7 numbers for our
Cruise-O-Matic tonight with no takers so it will be up to $550.00 next
week.
Thanks to Old-Town and all the Merchants for sponsoring our Friday Night
Cruise and thanks to our staff for another safe and enjoyable Friday
Nite Cruise.
Get well and hurry back Bill, we all miss you very much. It's not the
same here at Old Town without you and Doris to pick on.
Hope to see everyone next week.
