January 11th 2008
No early bird line today, we entered the brick streets of
Old Town as we arrived. The National Corvette Restored Society are in
town for the weekend. By one o'clock there were plenty of spectators and
lots of Corvettes. This group always brings a big crowd to Old Town.
Lights and Beyond, one of our fine merchants, is sponsoring a cruise on
March, 30, 2008, here at Old Town. It will be called Night Life Glow
Show. If you like lights on your cruiser, this is the place to be.
Buzz and Sue were very busy getting the word out about this fine cruise.
Bobby showed up with his 73 Cougar. Last week was too cold for him.
Pablo and Nilda had their usual spot by the stairs along with Bert and
Laverne. Lynn was out early also. Ken and Wanda were back with us again
tonight. Don't see much of them anymore. Ted had his 2006 Nissan. He is
very proud of it and proud to be a Friday night cruiser.
Paul Harrold was back from his vacation to Las Vegas. He encountered a
foot of snow and 3 degrees on his trip. He was glad to get back to the
warm weather in Florida. Also, he was not broke when he came back. Stan
could not make it tonight. He is under the weather and thought it was
best not to come out. Get well soon Stan. Greg and Rhonda visited us
with their 1974 Trans AM Red Gremlin. They don't come out much anymore.
Tom and Susie Coupe were out visiting with friends, not cruising
tonight. Tom has been very busy in his community helping others in need.
We are sure the Lord will bless him for this. We hope to see him back
cruising next week. We met Carl Hazlett who was from Punxsutawney, Pa.
and now resides north of Houston, Tx. He was just traveling thru with
his motorhome and his 1976 yellow convertible Volkswagen and decided to
stop and cruise with us.
So if you only have a week or a life time come out and enjoy Old Town,
our great staff and all us cruisers. We are going to miss Bronco for
awhile, he took another job for more money and we sure can't blame him
for that. He will be out to visit or cruise when he can. We miss any of
our family cruisers when they don't cruise with us. We had 166 fine
cruisers tonight. Good job. George Pennachi received his jacket on stage
tonight for being the cruiser of the month for December. Ward & Marilyn
Faust made it out with his 1994 Nissan. We missed them last week. We
want to thank Allan and our staff for a good job well done. It isn't
easy with all the extra cars that they had to make room for. Our 50/50
was $33.00 and went home with a first time cruiser. Joe and Allan could
not give the Cruise-O-Matic away even after 7 tries.
See you next Week.
