"Mustang Mike's"
Saint Cloud Thursday Nite Cruise-In

In the Wal-Mart Parking Lot
Next to the Sonic Drive-In
Saint Cloud, Florida

Last night on the way home we had Alternator problems with "Elvira" our '60 Ranchero and it was just too cold outside to fix her up, So, Linda and I headed out in our daily driver for the first time to a Cruise-In. When we arrived at 4:20 "Scary Larry" was in place with his Mustang. 2 cars from the bank were in prime "Show" area, I guess they must have forgotten that it was Thursday. It was only about 55 degrees outside but the sun was shinning brightly. It was also "Corvette Thursday" the last Thursday of the month when the Mid-Florida Corvette Club comes out to join us. It might turn out to be a good car count night after all.

Tony & Marianne were the next to arrive in their '71 SS454 Monte Carlo. Paul was out in his "Toy Truck", Jean had her '36 Ford parked across from it. "Dirty Mike" brought out "Captain Crunch" again tonight. Bill, that guy in the Honda who comes out to take pictures every week arrived along with a few Corvettes. Ron had to back his '61 Caddy into a spot across from his favorite, there was still a bank car in it. Nicky "Bop" was out in his '55 Chevy. Randy & Tina arrived in their '64 Plymouth Belvedere, welcome back to the Cruise-In. "Cousin John" parked his '72 deVille next to the "Black Beauty". Bob B was out in his SSR after a few weeks off fishing in the Keys. Larry parked across from us in his '73 Chevy Custom 10 pickup.  "Bo" picked his favorite spot to park his Corvair, John R would park his '65 Mustang next to him. Lenn would be out in his '60 Ford panel truck. Don W would be out in "Plain Jane" his '69 Ranchero, it was good to see him out, it has been a while. Dan would be out in his latest, a 1956 Ford Crown Victoria pick up. Jeff would bring his '59 Edsel. Jerry would be out in his El Camino. "Big George" and "Little George" would be out in the Chevy powered Cutlass. We spotted "Lucky Louie" walking into the parking lot. John F. had his latest Ford out tonight, the Dodge went to Ireland. Larry who had been visiting with Daughter and Grandchildren all week, made a break and brought out "ITZA40". Ron H came in my favorite '53 Chevy, he said "It's got a heater!" Bob would be out in his '68 Chevelle, Nick in his '32 Ford, those two have been working for a few weeks on Marks Chevelle. Fran came in the Camaro. Kevin, KM4FSU stopped out to see what this event was all about. One day I know he will be a Cruiser. Chuck, N4MOR, brought his Mom & Libby out in the '57 Chevy Bel Air. Bob N, feeling better finally came out in his '36 Ford Humpback. It was good to see him assisting in the trailer. Regular spectators Pat & Alan along with Coy and John & Kathy were with us tonight, Always good to have them join in. I Know I spotted many others but I think my brain is frozen.

Then the Sun went down, almost as many cars were leaving as were arriving. It was hard to keep track of what was going on, other than the ones that stayed to the end all had a good time. Some of the Cruisers "Froze Out" early included Ed & Sarah, that came out in their '72 "Shortbox" Chevy pickup. Paul, Jean and Randy & Tina plus many more. Once that Sun went down it got COLD! Ron & Renee did the prize shopping. Thank You.

I awarded Roy Fitz with his Plaque and T-Shirt for his February, 2008 "Cruiser of the Month" status while Mike counted the Prize Booty. Then I announced the March, 2008 "Cruiser of the Month". Ron Bozarth would be the recipient.

The 50/50 of $78 was won by "Lucky Louie" Piazza, Cruiser #452. Now he won't have to walk to the next Cruise-In. He donated $15 back to the Cruise-In, Thank You.

Cruiser #382, Joe Merkl would have taken home the $175 "Cruise-A-Matic" if he would have been out tonight. Next week we have $200 in the offering.

"Cruiser of the Week" went home in that "Heirloom '61 Falcon" with George Crofut, Cruiser #643.

On to the Photos..

Congratulations to the winners!
Thank You to all that came out tonight.

See you all "Out There"
