It was only about 40 degrees cooler than
yesterday at this time when we headed for the "Square". Jack arrived
about the same time we did in his daily driver, it was just past 4:00.
Chris had his truck blocking Mike's parking area. Paul stopped out in
his "Toy Truck" a few minutes later. Dick ventured out in his Mustang
2+2. He had been up in Chattanooga for a week or two. Ron backed his '61
Caddy into his favorite spot, Renee even let him wear his "Good Hat". It
must be cold. Ron H. was next to arrive in his Model A. He had the
details from their Saint Augustine trip with the Model A'ers last
weekend. Harry came out in his daily driver as did
"Lucky Louie". Patty & Alan stopped out to be with us tonight. Andy
backed his '79 deVille into a spot next to Ron's'. Laura, KI4ZJX arrived
in her Firebird, she made the trip up from Lakeland and it wasn't
raining. Graham, G4HFG checked in over the radio from Oldham, England.
He was still a little shaken, not stirred, from the 5.2 scale earthquake
that hit there last night. "Scary Larry" arrived in his daily driver.
We all stayed inside "Bites" tonight, Mike didn't think
it was a good idea to drag out all of the equipment for the show, no one
would hear it anyway. Chris had news about the latest tenant that will
be next door, It will be the "Swanee's Pub". It should be opening soon.
The "Bites" staff did a good job with putting up with us all being
inside tonight.
Steve & Charlie would arrive just after 6:30 in the '77
deVille and George with his "Heirloom Falcon" would be a little early at
6:59. Mike decided that tonight it would be an abbreviated Cruise-In and
gave tickets out to all in attendance to give away a "Bites"
certificate, Beef O'Bradys and a Whistle Junction dinner.
The "Cruise-A-Matic" stays at $40 and no "Cruiser of the
Week" was chosen. Let's hope for better weather next week. We all left
just about 7:30.
Brrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Here are a few photos.
Thank you to those that came out.
See you all "Out There"
