Today we would take "Elvira" our '60 Falcon Ranchero out
to a Wednesday Nite Cruise-In for the first time since last April. In
fact she hasn't been cruising at all since her trip to Old Town last
July. Finally I put in a new radiator but I had to engineer a lower
radiator hose. Anyway, we arrived about 4:15, Paul in his "Toy Truck"
arrived about the time "Mustang Mike" made his way into the lot.
Even with the dark clouds the "Regulars" started to
arrive. "Cousin John" in his '72 Caddy, Roger in his '86 Mustang, Don R
brought his '68 Mustang Fastback out. Pat & Alan came out to join us.
Larry then brought out the '64 Galaxie that will be headed for the UK
very soon, Danny would join him later. Ron A would back his '61 Caddy
into the front row. Louie, in his '52 Ford would park next to him. Dick
would also park his '65 Mustang 2+2 in the front row. Bill would park
his Blazer in between Paul's truck and our Ranchero. Mary & George came
out in their '72 Monte Carlo for the first time in months. Greg,
"Poinciana Kid" arrived in his Camaro. Andy would back his '79 deVille
next to "Cousin John's". Nick & Bob were then spotted, or should I say
heard, coming into the "Square" in the '32 Ford and the '71 Camaro Z-28.
Graham, G4HFG checked in over the HAM Radio from Oldham, England and
Cruised with us for a while.
The staff at "Bites", Brittany, Brittney and Danielle
took great care of all of us, Chris made us all feel at home.
While the cars came in Paul & Donna, Cruisers from
Ontario Canada stopped by while vacationing in Florida. They have a '55
Chevy and a '70 Impala convertible up there. They are thinking about
keeping one in Florida, so when they come down they can join us in a
Cruiser. Steve parked his '79 deVille in it's place of honor. Charlie
was out with him. Roy would be out in his '64 Galaxie 500XL convertible.
The "Wookie" would show up in his '83 Mustang, Bert came
out in his daily driver, the carb for the '66 Comet didn't come in
today, maybe tomorrow. Then it was time for George to roll his "Heirloom
'61 Falcon into the lot. That usually means it is nearly time for the
drawings.
Mary Sanderson, Cruiser #75 was holding the winning
ticket for the $42 50/50. Bob Berube, Cruiser #8 was drawn for the $60
"Cruise-A-Matic".
"Cruiser of the Week" went home with Andy Billitteri,
Cruiser #6 in his '79 Cadillac Coupe deVille, a car that he has had
since it was new.
