"Mustang Mike's"
Whistle Junction 2nd Monday of the Month Cruise-In
4551 13th Street
Saint Cloud, Florida

November 12th

Linda & I don't get the opportunity to get out to this one on a regular basis, it has grown a bit since the last time we made it out. We arrived before "Mustang Mike" made it to the Cruise-In, Rick, the manager had called me last night to see if it was going to happen. It being Veterans Day he wasn't sure if we would be out or not. Well it was ON! Bert & Ernie were the second to arrive in the '66 Comet wagon. "Scary Larry " was next in his Mustang, followed by Paul in the DeSoto. Shortly after 5:00, Bill arrived in his '81 Blazer. Ron B and son Mark were in the Corvair convertible. Nancy came out later as did Bob & Pat to join them for dinner. Nicky "Bop" parked his Banana 'Vette next Ron's Corvair. "Lucky Louie" arrived in his '52 Ford, George was out in his heirloom Falcon, John & Jennifer along with a friend visiting from Guernsey, Jean, arrived in the '65 Mustang convertible. Dana was out to harass us all. Roy parked his '64 Galaxie convertible next to Ron A in his '61 Caddy. Dick was out in his 2+2 Mustang, later his son Richard joined in with Sally, Don R had his '69 Mustang out, sporting new seats. Steve & Charlie brought out the '77 deVille. Jr. had his Buick down from the Mustangs. I'm not sure who had that Dune Buggy out.

Most everyone dinned on the great buffet and settled down outside for a regular night of "Car Talk" and other visiting. Rick, the manager took the mic and Thanked all that came out. Prizes from AutoZone and 10 meals from Whistle junction were drawn for and presented. The 50/50 was $45, not bad for 17 cars, and because the prizes were donated tonight Mike gave away both halfs. Graham, W4HFG because he is in the States, stopped by on the radio and brought in Ian and others via IRLP to get a report on the event.

I managed to have the winning number for the first $45! Of course the crowd declared in unison, RIGGED! I donated it to the newsletter. Nicky "Bop" had the winning ticket for the other half and had to fight his way past Dana and Roger to get it. Nicky donated it to his "Bling Fund".

A great night was had by all and Rick made sure to personally thank all that came to the event.

On to a few photos after this....
