It was chilly in Brooksville at 8:00am. But that didn't seem to cool the enthusiasm for the people coming to the 16th Annual Fall Car Show and Swap Meet to Benefit the Children's Miracle Network. Opening was set for 8:00. But when I got there at that time, there were already a couple of dozen cars and shoppers there. Eventually there would be over 130 cars and trucks show up. You see, Wal-Mart contributes to this benefit too by selling tons of stuff from sun screen to complete computers at fifty cents on the dollar, or less. Just before 3:00pm it was reported that over $30,000 had been raised so far. Here are some PICs.

My Favorite car was this mildly customized '53 Ford called "Ole Joker."
It was a trophy winner.

Another trophy winner was this '60 Plymouth. Complete with square steering wheel.

It appears that this cool little Plymouth had been used in a bank robbery.

And here the Gangster himself in the back seat.

Another trophy winner was this super clean VW.

The Citrus County Corvairs were out in force. And took several trophies.

This little Chevy pickup is absolutely gorgeous. And another trophy winner.

Ditto for the little Willys pickup.

This Dodge Magnum, with suicide doors and a Hemi was a winner too.

How about a very period correct '61 Chevy drag car with a 409 and 4 speed ??

Does anybody remember what the clothes pins on the fuel line are for ??

A trophy winning T-Bucket.

A very nice Ford sedan and matching trailer.

And still another trophy winner. A really cool '57 Dodge.

Not every car there won a trophy. But "Henry the VIII" is OK with that.

Newer compacts were represented as well.

This is a very nice '66 Dodge Coronet 440 convertible.

This is 2 of the 3 tables full of beautiful trophies.
Well over half of the cars and trucks there won one.

This little rod is cool with an unmolested full height top. As is the bucket next to it.

A nice '46 Ford.

No show is complete without a '55 Chevy. And this one is as nice as I've seen.

This '39 Chevy is close to concourse condition. And another trophy winner.

This Chevy sedan is sweeeeet.

It's a Demon. Don't call it a Duster.

'65 Chevy Impala SS trophy winner.

The newer Camaros and Mustangs were out too.

             Be safe,

                         Dusty
