We had a great cruise for our final Friday Night of 2007. With Christmas
past, we had a good number of spectators already at Old Town when we got
there. It looked like it might be a truck cruise, we had more trucks
than cars in the early lineup, however the cars showed up later and we
had 155 cruisers on this beautiful December day. We want to thank Old
Town and our great staff for a successful and fun filled year of
cruising. We hope we have many more of the same.
We had a new Friday Night Cruiser, Justin Hanlon from Boynton Beach
brought his beautiful 1983 white El Camino out to show. He found this El
Camino on a hill in Clermont, it was to be junked but Justin gave them
$500.00 for it.
They even gave him a trailer to haul it away. Justin and his dad did all
the work restoring this vehicle. After many hard hours of work they came
up with a very nice cruiser. We like to see the older cars come in and
we hope he becomes a regular Friday Night Cruiser.
Darrel Jones from Orlando had a very nice blue and white 1983 Monte
Carlo. The interior is also blue and white. He has been cruising with us
for quite awhile. Ricky Friddle has a new toy, this one is a 2004
Shadow Gray Mach 1 Mustang. Only 5000 were manufactured in 2004.
Toby Buck from Apopka was showing his Night Stalker. This is a 2004 PT
Cruiser. We call it the frog car with all the frog graphics on it.
Maryann came out with her two beautiful Granddaughters. One picked up a
Gecko and made a pet of it. Also attempted to put it on us. Don and
Jackie were late coming in but they made it. Joe Ness also came in late.
He had a leak in his brake line, also Ted was out with his red Nissan.
We seem to be getting more El Caminos lately, at least 3 were spotted
tonight. Gerald was back tonight after spending a week with his Son in
El Paso, TX. "The Loosers" were in their favorite spot, the Chrysler gang
were out in Block 1 of Trophy Row and all was well at Old Town. Allan,
you took your Christmas decorations off your golf cart a little early
this year, didn't you??????????
Lee did a good job talking to the flag winners. Our 50/50 was $55.00 and
went to Greg, who we know as Poinciana Kid. Our Cruise-O-Matic will go
to $450.00 next week. Joe and Allan tried hard, pulled 7 numbers but no
takers.
See you next week!
