Another beautiful warm night for our Friday night cruise. With all the
snowy weather up North, we are honored to be here in Paradise. We were
followed on to the street of Old-Town at 5 o'clock by Tom. Stan &
Maryann, Don and Jackie, Joe, Dave and the rest of the early birds. Some
of our gang tried our newest restaurant, Kool Katz Grill and Pub. Their
reports were all positive. The food was very tasty, and plenty of it.
The samples they gave us on Saturday were sure good. We stopped by to
meet the owners and they were
very friendly and we think they will be an asset to Old Town and to our
Cruisers. If you are looking for a new place to dine we recommend you
give this a try. Ralph and Shirley were out tonight, it is always good
to see them. Andy with his 79 Caddy circled block 3 three times before
finding a spot to settle down. Chris Mohler brought his beautiful 1981
Pontiac Trans Am Pace Car 500 to cruise with us tonight. It is white,
with a screaming eagle on the hood. A very nice cruiser indeed.
Dennis Bungert and son Devon were back with us again, after being called
out of town. To show that cruisers have big hearts, his wife teaches at
Reedy Creek Elementary. Many of these children are handicapped. Dennis
has been busy playing Santa Clause for them and ended up playing Santa
for the whole school. Some of the stories he tells are heart warming. It
takes special people to do this but Dennis says it is very rewarding.
Joe Ness was out with his Ranger but did not get to cruise. He had chest
pains and he went to Celebration Hospital to be checked out. We are glad
to report he came back before we cruised and it was just a matter of
bruised ribs. We are thankful for that report and he should be back next
week. George Penachi, cruiser of the month, has his cruiser well
decorated for Christmas. He always dresses it up for the holidays. Ward
was out with his Nissan, his wife Marilyn chose to be a spectator
tonight and watched the cruise from the side lines.
One flag winner did not show. Joe pulled one number and Andy went home
with the oil. No one won the cruise-O-Matic. So it will go to $400.00
next week. The 50/50 was $57.00 and again was won by our Mr. Lucky none
other than Gerald. Congratulations Mr. Pontiac.
Allan always gives the chosen child that pulls the tickets a stuffed
toy. Nice gesture Allan. Allan also reported that over $1200.00 and a
small bus load of toys were collected over the weekend. Thanks to all
the Friday and Saturday night cruisers. We had 117 cruisers tonight.
See you all next week.
