Another clear beautiful cool evening for our first cruise back on
standard time. It sure gets dark early. Wolfman was back in line with us
tonight after a short absence. His wife Sue was a little under the
weather and could not be out tonight. Stan and Maryann was out in their
jeep. Their Pacer is still sick. Sure hope he gets it fixed soon because
we all miss seeing it. He was followed in by a full line of early birds
by 5 o'clock. Don and Jackie had their newly acquired Red Cadillac
Convertible with them tonight. While we were roaming around, we spotted
a Blue 4 door Lincoln Town Car. We could not find the owner but we are
glad to see these older cars coming out to cruise. Also we met Ed
Gangwisch with his 1984 Pontiac. This beautiful 2 tone tan cruiser is a
one owner car. He sports the original license plate he got when he first
got this vehicle.
One of the newer cars attracted our attention. This was a 1997 Plymouth
Prowler. These cars had a very unique design. There were only 343 built
the first year and they were all purple. 2002 was the last year these
cars were manufactured and there was only a total of 11,703 made, making
one of these a rare find. This one belongs to Rainer Mueller. He has
added very nice colorful flames, which is an eye catcher. This excellent
paint job was done by Yosemite Sam (also known as Dr. Flame). He also
autographed his work for Rainer. These cars were all Aluminum and were
powered by a 3.5 4 valve motor.
The Loosers were in their regular spot and all was well at Old Town. It
was good talking to Sherry and found out she and hubby are from the same
region of PA that we are from. We got to reminisce for awhile. Jody and
Clint had their 1985 Corvette out tonight. It was good seeing them
again. Our good friends, Juan Molina and his wife Leidis who are
visiting from Puerto Rica stopped by to chat. They are here for 3 weeks
this time. They always look us up when they get here. He loves the old
cars and has a 1979 jeep at home. His desire is to cruise it at Old Town
in the future, so where ever you're from and who ever you are come out
to Old Town and make a new friend. We missed you tonight Allan.
The cruise-O-Matic was $225.00. No one claimed it tonight. The 50/50 was
$27.00 and it was won by cruiser Ward Faust from Kissimmee. We had 159
cruisers that registered tonight.
See you all next week!
