This was our first cruise of November and what a beautiful cool
night we had. Many of the regulars were in line by 5 o'clock to cruise
the brick street of Old-Town. After our evening meal we visited with
some of our old friends and met some new ones. Block 4 was quite full
tonight. One of our new acquaintances was Bob Koehnlein from Kissimmee.
He has a beautiful 1974 Maroon MG BGT. This little car is powered by a 4
cylinder motor and has been
with Bob about 3 years. Also we found a very nice 1984 Blue Monte Carlo.
The owner of this cruiser is Bill and Debbie Keever who reside in
Orlando. They have been cruising about 3 years now but cannot make it
every Friday night. Their Monte Carlo is powered by a 350 motor and is a
cruiser to be proud of. It is good to see these older cars coming out
and we hope they can
make it out to cruise with us more often. If you see these or any other
cars we write about, stop and talk to their proud owners and they will
be glad to fill you in on the history of the cruiser and maybe talk you
into getting a cruiser of your own.
Bobby and Gerald were in block four but we were missing Buzz, Joe, Tom
and Ken Keel. Stan had his jeep tonight, his Pacer is sick and couldn't
make it. Maryann had to work and we missed her and the Pacer. Hope to
see you both soon. We want to thank Bob Butler for bringing our news
letters. He seems to be recuperating very well. The Loosers were in
their regular spots and all was well at the Friday Night Cruise. One of
our new cruisers, Jody was back with her Red 85 Corvette.
Our Cruiser Of The Month for November is Albert Palmieri who lives in
Orlando. He has a beautiful Metalic Sunset Orange 2001 Trans Am. It is a
T Top with a 5.7 LS1 engine. This cruiser was featured in an article,
(High Performance Pontiac). It is also autographed on the motor by Barry
McGuire. You can see this beautiful cruiser in it's honored spot by the
office. Congratulations Albert.
Our 50/50 was very low tonight. The $23.00 was won by ticket no 16219.
He had bought 6 tickets. The Cruise-O-Matic was $225.00 tonight. No
takers this evening. We had 131 registered cruisers tonight but we had
room for plenty more. So if you have a vehicle from 1973 to 1987 come
out and join us. We want to thank our great staff and Old-Town and all
the sponsors for another great night to cruise the brick street of Old
Town.
See you all next week!
