The Friday Nite Cruise
Old Town Shopping Attraction.
5770 West 192
Kissimmee, Florida

October 5th

Another typical Friday Night at Old-Town>>>>RAIN, RAIN, RAIN. We're not complaining, just stating the facts. We had 61 die hard cruisers that braved the rainy weather to show their beautiful vehicles. With Stan and Maryann on vacation and Dave getting his shoulder operated on and Buzz and Ken with other obligations the early bird turnout was kind of slow. Tom Coupe who is one of our early birds got the honor of cruiser of the month for October. His green 1983 Ford pickup can usually be found on block 4 any Friday night, but this month he has a place of honor across from the office. Congratulations Tom and Sue.

After we got parked we had to dine alone at the Steak House, then out to visit with our many friends and cruisers. Joe Ness had to work tonight at Lights and Beyond so he did not get to cruise. Ray Kissel from Lakeland was back with us tonight with his own cruiser. He cruised with his friend's vehicle in the past. He now has a 2001 GMC Jimmy truck which is Gold. It has a 4.3 Liter Motor. V6 Vortec single overhead Cam. He is very proud of this truck and has big plans for it. He is also vice president of Internal Vibrations Car Club which is located in Lakeland.

We also met Ward and Marilyn Faust from Kissimmee. He cruises a dark green 1994 Nissan truck. He has a couple other projects that he is working on. One is a 1929 Chevy one ton truck. This truck has solid steel rims. We hope we can see this vehicle out at Old-Town in the near future. We also spotted a very nice 1974 Gray Toyota Hilux Pickup. This little beauty comes from St. Cloud and is owned by Naldo. We like to see the older vehicles in such good shape. Block 4 only had one vehicle parked on it tonight.
The cruisers were kept busy trying to keep their vehicles wiped dry. It was a losing battle, but a good time was had by all. If you are a spectator or cruiser come out and join our Friday Night Cruiser Family. We will welcome you and you will be glad you came. Thanks to all our sponsors, Old Town and our hard working staff. Starting next week, any cruiser who has a 1973 or 1974 cruiser can move it to Saturday night or keep it on Friday night. You cannot do both.
Our cruise-O-Matic was $125.00. No takers tonight. The 50/50 was $23.00
and went home with Nate Snody.

See you all next week!
_______ Bill & Doris.

Tonight's random drawing winners that and received the coveted "Old Town Checkered Flag" along with $25 cash and a drink from the Tropical Breeze.

Congratulations to the Checkered Flag Winners!
