This was the last Friday Night Cruise in September and it was another
hot one. We were back to the normal cruise after a couple of fun filled
special Friday's. Cruiser appreciation week, which is always a great
night, then Allan and the staff came up with Speak like a Pirate night.
I think we all had fun
and Allan said we will have more special nights in the future.
It seemed like it was going to be a truck cruise, we had our Chevy S10
tonight. Then came Wolfman and Sue and then Eagleman Ken. Stan had his
Jeep tonight, then Dave and Bev with their Silverado. Joe Ness and an El
Camino and then a car showed up. Ralph and Shirley were out tonight. It
is always good to see them. Joe and Lee left us in at 5:00. Ron and Dave
were registering us tonight. We dined at the A & W tonight, maybe
because we had won a gift certificate, and we want to thank A & W and
all the other sponsors for sponsoring us. We were joined by Ralph and
Shirley and Stan. Ken was a little late coming in to eat. We have plenty
of good food at Old Town.
We were talking to Ed and Tony, (Looser one and two). They were in their
coveted spot. Ed had to repair the power steering line on his cruiser
last week. These vehicles sure need to be worked on from time to time.
Todd and Julie Nash were back with us tonight after a few weeks off.
They had their beautiful 1987 Monte Carlo. Another beautiful Monte
Carlo, owned by Dennis was spotted on the brick street. He had DVD
playing, showing the restoration of the cruiser. Ken Keel was out but
was not feeling very good. He had a mini stroke last week. We hope and
pray for a complete recovery. Bob Butler was also out tonight with his
SSR after his operation, he is looking well and we pray for him also.
Dave is going to be off a few weeks. He is going to have his shoulder
operated on. Stan and Maryann are heading to PA. for a couple of weeks
and we miss them. Sometimes it is hard to keep up with all these
cruisers. Mr. Bronco served his last week as Cruiser of the Month. A
little late tonight but made every week of it. Mr. Pontiac showed up
with his 79 Pontiac. It is always good to see him. Steve and Linda
Butler made a rare appearance tonight, but it was only for a party. It
is still good to see them.
We had 137 cruisers to cruise the Brick streets of Old town. The 50/50
was $39.00 and went home with Willie from Orlando. The Cruise-O-Matic
was $100.00. No takers tonight.
See you all next week!
