August 31st

Last Friday Night Cruise for August and the weatherman blessed us with a little more rain. We had two severe thunder storms before 5 o'clock. We arrived at Old-Town just before the down pour. Ken was already there, and we were followed by Stan, Dave. Tony (Looser 2), not many early birds tonight. The weather cleared before we hit the streets of Old-Town. Ken had block 4 to himself tonight. He had a lot of room to show his beautiful Dodge truck. He has won some trophies for his beautiful paint job and tonight he added a flag to his collection. This is his first flag after cruising a year.

We decided to eat at A & W tonight. Dave, Bev. Stan and Ken joined us tonight. We have plenty of good food at Old-Town. A & W is one of the sponsors of the Cruise. Thank you.

After we ate we strolled the streets to see the vehicles and our many friends. We were glad to find a few more older cars. A 1984 Gray Monte Carlo. It has a v8-305./5.0 Liter engine and a 4 barrel Carburetor. Also a 1986 Gray Oldsmobile. Back on trophy row, a nice 1985 Cadillac convertible. Just a few of the 90 cruisers that braved the storms and came out to cruise with us tonight.

Gregg and Emma Nelson were out tonight. Joe came in a little late tonight because his wife got operated on. He assured us that she was doing fine. Also we learned that he has a birthday this Sunday. We don't know how many that makes but we wish you a Happy Birthday.

At 7:30 we got another storm and it rained until 8:10. We sat with Stan who is cruiser of the month and chit chat for awhile. Esther was signing in the cruisers and Ron was her helper. We saw Jon and Angie and Ken and Wanda arrive in the rain storm.

Bre Morgan was on stage with her band. She is only 13 years old and she has been singing since a tot. Then she has a CD which is called Unstopable. We were told that she is going to make a movie with Disney. She plans to tour Europe. Looks like this little lady is on her way up.

Our Cruise-o-matic was $375.00 tonight. Chris Pate from Orlando was the lucky winner. He cruises a 06 Dodge Charger.

Our 50/50 was $40.00 and it was won by Jim from Melbourne. He cruises a 1984 Monte Carlo.

See you all next week.
