The Friday Nite Cruise
Old Town Shopping Attraction.
5770 West 192
Kissimmee, Florida

August 10th

It was a typical August night in Central Florida. <<<HOT<<< No rain and it was a beautiful night for our 155 cruisers who came out in the sweltering heat to show their beautiful vehicles. We had a mixture of old and newer vehicles and it is leaning more to the new ones. If you have a vehicle between 1973 to 1987 or know someone who has one, come on out any Friday night and show us what you have. We think you will be glad you did and we will be glad to have you.

One of our unusual cruisers was a 2005 SSR Chevy. This one sports a very bright red and yellow coat of paint. It also has after market wheels and tires. Graphics and a few other modifications. It is also powered by a 400LS6 Corvette motor. Teedo the proud owner resides in Auburndale. He bought this vehicle new.

We noticed another very nice 1974 Gray Hilux Toyota Pickup. This one belongs to Arnaldo Rivera and we did not get to talk to him. Ken did not get to cruise tonight, he was called home because of a sick pet. Dave moved into his place on block four and followed Stan who is cruiser of the month for August. Stan had some problems with his pacer this week. After a radiator repair, light switch and belts, it was running like new again. We have to keep on working on these cruisers from time to time but they are worth the effort.
We want to welcome Don and Jackie back from their month trip to Penna. They went to visit with family and friends. Also Bev will be back in another week. We know Dave misses her. You don't have to be a cruiser to enjoy Old Town on a Friday Night. We meet a lot of our Old Town and camping acquaintances. So any given Friday Night come on out and enjoy Old Town.

Jon and Angie Strode who were cruisers of the month for July received their jackets tonight. Angie had to buy hers but we think it is nice for each of them to have one. We both have one and we are glad we did.

Our cruise-O-Matic was $300.00 but no takers tonight. The 50/50 was only $25.00 and it went to Kim Inman from Kissimmee. Our ticket drawer was a little girl from England, Allan loves the way they talk and rewarded her with a cute little fire house stuffed dog. Nice gesture, Allan.

See you all next week.

_______ Bill & Doris.

Tonight's random drawing winners that and received the coveted "Old Town Checkered Flag" along with $25 cash and a drink from the Tropical Breeze.

Congratulations to the Checkered Flag Winners!
