The Friday Nite Cruise
Old Town Shopping Attraction.
5770 West 192
Kissimmee, Florida

July 20th

This sure was a hot one today. The humidity was high and your clothes just stuck to you. We had no rain to dampen our cruise and it made it very nice for the 124 vehicles that showed up tonight. We made it out early and Stan arrived later. It was not long until Joe and Doug and the rest of the early birds lined up. We changed our way of dining tonight and wandered over to Flippers for our evening repast.

This is a favorite hangout for a lot of cruisers and we get catered to in royal style. Annette was our server tonight and treated us very well. It was good to see Esther back with us tonight. She had a mild medical problem last week and seems to be doing good now. We hope her a speedy recovery. And God Bless you Esther. Bratt was out cruising with us tonight. She showed us her beautiful diamond engagement ring. She also introduced us all to Greg. We hope they have a very happy life together.

While strolling around, I saw C. J. who brought out his 1988 Mercedes Benz. It is a gray convertible with a black top. They only made one convertible that year. He has 3 vehicles and he decided to sell this one.

Dave was out tonight. This weather is a little hard on him. Bev is up North with her mom and dad. Several other cruisers are away and doing other things. Tommo was back with his Mustang. He has not been out for awhile. He informed us that he is going to move to Nevada in a couple of months. We will miss him.

Block 4 only had 3 cruisers tonight. Bobby is a regular there and he got lucky and won a checkered flag. He has been cruising since the Friday night cruise started and this was flag 23 that he won. Looser one and Looser two got their regular spot tonight. They like this spot. They don't have far to get their favorite drinks. We all like to see one another and to show our beautiful vehicles, which are the stars, which everyone comes out to see.

At 9 o'clock we were led down the brick street by the police in an unmarked car. Next was Jon and Angie Strode who are cruiser of the month for July. A lot of spectators and a lot of picture taking. After the cruise, the prizes were given out. Our cruise-O-Matic was $225.00 but no winner tonight. The 50/50 was won by ticket holder 11072 which was held by Andy, a Cruiser. He took home $40.00.

Order your Friday Nite Cruise, “Dash Card”. A nice way to let everyone know what your “Cruising” and who it belongs to, still only $2.00 each, See us to order.

See you all next week.

_______ Bill & Doris.
