The Friday Nite Cruise
Old Town Shopping Attraction.
5770 West 192
Kissimmee, Florida

June 22nd

This Friday was the first cruise of our official Summer. It was very hot and muggy. A few sprinkles of rain had come down before we got to Old Town today. All the early birds were there before 5 o'clock. It was good to see all the cruisers again tonight. Some come early so they can socialize with one another and enjoy Old Town. Around 3:30 we had a light shower and one bad lightening strike. Some hollered and some ran to the stores for cover. Some of the cruisers said it hit the tower and did some damage to the PA system. We were in the area but did not see it strike, but it sure was loud. After the shower it got hot and humid again, but it still was a beautiful night for a cruise. One of our staff is taking some time off to rest up. We will miss Bratt's smiling face as she signs us in, but Esther will fill in for her. Someone is always willing to step in and help out. That's the way our staff works. Allan is still doing a fine job announcing, however, we don't know who came up with the idea of a Moo Cow contest. More on this next week we hope. Come on out on Saturday and see what this is all about. We do know they are giving some good prizes away. This is why we like Old Town. Something always amusing and that is what this cruise is all about. FUN However we do have some bad apples, at the start of the cruise, we watched a large black pickup pull out of a parking spot and hit the bumper of a small car in the spot next to him. He did not stop and we could not get his license number. He was just a spectator but we do not need these kind of people. Before we cruised they played a different version of the Star Spangled Banner. We don't know who sang it but it was very good. Stan had a very good night. He won $50.00 gift certificate from Auto Zone. He also was approached by John Wiser's Whizzer Motors They provide vehicles for the motion picture industry. He liked Stan's
little 77 Pacer and gave Stan an application to fill out and send a photo of his car. We may have a celebrity among us. We had 125 beautiful cruisers tonight for another safe cruise and thanks to Old-Town and our staff. Our cruise-O-Matic will go to $150.00 next week. No takers tonight. The 50/50 was won by ticket 08830 which belonged to Glenn Sturgeon. He bought 2 tickets and took home $50.00. Not Bad.

See you all next week.
