Rain Rain Rain Oh how we do need this rain . It is not very good for a
cruise. The fair weather ones never come out when they hear the word
rain but 40 of the "Die Hards" came out to show their beautiful cruisers
and to fellowship with their friends. We came a little early but Buzz
and Stan were already there. Of course we had to clean off those pesky
love bugs. A lot of the Saturday Night Cruisers were already lined up
for their Anniversary Cruise tomorrow night. We have a new cruiser of
the month for June. Butch Brooks
got the honor this time. He drives a 1987 Black Ford Mustang
Convertible. This little beauty is powered by a 4 cylinder Ford motor.
He has been cruising on Friday since 2001 but had been a Saturday
Cruiser since 1995. Congratulations Butch. We want to thank our staff
and Old Town for creating this honorable position.
A few of the FLXC Club members were back with us tonight. These new
muscle cars are modified and a lot of money has been spent on some of
them. Pat, a member of this club had his yellow Charger out tonight. He
brought us up to date on some of their activities. A lot of the Saturday
Night Cruisers were out enjoying our Friday Night Cruise. We were glad
to see A J and his wife out. They have not been to Old Town for a while
but will be out for the Anniversary Cruises.
Not much news tonight. Had a very short cruise and a lot less
spectators. But the beautiful rain was worth the sacrifice. Our
Cruise-O-Matic will go to $75.00 for the Anniversary Cruise. We want to
invite anyone who has a vehicle from 1973 thru 1987 and would like to
show it, Come on out to Old Town and show your vehicle. We would be glad
to have you and you will be glad you came. Our 50/50 was only $15.00
tonight. It was awarded to ticket no. 05115. A spectator from New York
won. He bought $10.00 worth of tickets.
