May 4th

Today was a very busy day, with a yard sale and then going to Old Town at our regular time kept us a hopping. Buzz was already there. He has not been out for a few weeks. His wife Sue was operated on and is doing fine now. Thanks to all who asked about her. Then our regulars all lined up by 5 o'clock. We even had a newcomer to the Friday Night Cruise out early. Twitch Mascho from Winter Haven brought out his 1987 Escort Wagon. He hasn't had it very long This little beauty is powered by a 4 cylinder engine and only has 38,000 miles on it. We are glad to see some of the older cars coming back to the cruise. Remember if you have a car between 1973 - 1987 model and are proud of it bring it out to our cruise and show it off. We will be glad to have you. And I'm sure you will be glad you came.

Our new cruiser of the month for May is Larry and Cris Day from Kissimmee,  they have a Red 1986 Mustang and have been cruising over a year on Friday night and 11 years on Saturday night. Congratulations to you two. Ken was out with his daily driver and could not cruise. He did some damage to his truck and it will be out for awhile. Also Bert Brown had some bad luck. He wrecked his Ford Probe. We are glad to report that no one got hurt although Bert said he was a little sore. Also Bert and Laverne celebrated their 17 wedding anniversary. We wish them the best of luck and hope they have many more. It was good to see Gregg Nelson out tonight. He has not been out for awhile. They are enjoying their new home. Samantha Stahl was back with us tonight after a long time off. She had a birthday last week and celebrated by winning a flag tonight. She is also the lucky girl that won $1,000 Cruise-O-Matic a few months ago. The cruise has been good to her.

We get many favorable comments from our spectators about our beautiful cruisers. Tonight our yearly visitors from New Jersey were back with us. They enjoyed the Parks but they always like to come to Old-Town to see the cars and enjoy the Doo-wop singers.

As we cruise the street of Old Town where the cars are the stars and get much attention. Our mascot, which is a gorilla gets many comments and we do believe he gets his picture taken so much that you would think he was the star. This is Old-Town on Friday Night.

Come on out and enjoy it. Our capable staff will make sure you have a safe and enjoyable night. The band on stage tonight entertaining was Close Proximity. We had 147 cruisers to show up tonight. Joe could not give the cruise-O-Matic away again. It will go to $200 next week.

The 50/50 was won by ticket holder 06795 which belonged to James Manoz from Clermont. He bought $5.00 worth of tickets. He has been cruising for 1 year.

See you all next week!
