March 23rd
This week’s report is from “Stan the Pacer Man”. Bill’s sister has taken
a turn for the worst and they went to be with her, our prayers are with
them. We hope they have a safe trip and that we see them back with us on
a Friday real soon.
Here it is the Friday Night Cruise another week has come and gone. The
weather was warm with no rain. Ralph and Shirley were out tonight we
missed them last week. We didn’t go to the steak house on the hill
tonight instead we went to A&W. Wolfman was back with us tonight he won
another trophy, good for him. It is good to have the Dukes on block 4.
Thanks to Old-Town for bringing them back they were very much missed by
all.
As I was walking down the street I stopped to talk to some people
visiting us from Scotland and their brother who lives in Canada they had
arranged to meet at Old-Town. I think that’s great to have people from
all over the world come to see the cars on Friday and Saturday.
The 50/50 was for $53.00 and one of the spectators won it, that’s great.
The cruise-O-Matic was not won tonight so it will be $50.00 next week.
There were 145 cars out for our cruise tonight. Bert Brown was one of
the checkered flag winners, he told us he has been cruising since the
start and that he has won 37 flags. Good for you Bert.
Thanks to Old-Town and all the Merchants for sponsoring our Friday Night
Cruise and thanks to our staff for another safe and enjoyable Friday
Night Cruise.
See you all next week.
“Stan the Pacer Man”
We missed you Bill and Doris, it was strange not having the “Brown Bird”
with us tonight.
Tonight's
random drawing winners that and received the coveted "Old Town Checkered
Flag" along with $25 cash and a drink from the Tropical Breeze.
Congratulations to the Checkered Flag Winners!
