After a rainy start the weather favored us tonight for our cruise. We
had a beautiful night and 143 cruisers to show their beautiful classics.
We found a few unique ones that caught our attention. Ray Golowach from
Kissimmee had his Hummer Kit car out to show the crowd. This little
beauty was built on a 1975 Volkswagen frame and it is powered by a 1974
Volkswagen engine. This makes a neat little cruiser and it attracts the
crowd.
Eric Ortiz also of Kissimmee was showing his 2003 Red Saleen. This one
is an S7 competition model. It also sports lambo' doors. It weighs only
2700 pounds and is built for speed. You don’t see very many of these. He
has a few other classics but this is the first time he had this one out.
We also found another very modified 1997 Chevy Suburban. It is copper
and silver and is equipped with airbags to raise or lower the body. This
cruiser has many extras and is owned by Richard Scott of Kissimmee.
We also want to welcome Colin Raschke from Orlando, this is his first
time to cruise with us. He has a 1973 Red Mustang which he acquired a
few years ago. He says he is still working on it but it looks fine as it
is. We are glad to see another older car join our cruise.
The Yellow Mustang Club visited us tonight. This club has 6400 worldwide
members. We guess they're all yellow, at least the 23 that visited us were
bright yellow. This is their 5th time to visit Orlando and we hope they
come back and cruise again.
Our list of ailing cruisers are improving but one of our staff (Bratt)
was in a car accident. She got bruised up a little but may be back next
week. We hope she has a speedy recovery.
Our Cruise-O-Matic was won by number 1081 which belonged to our cruiser
Andy Billitteri, he is $50.00 richer. The 50/50 was won by number 05268,
Bert Brown was the lucky winner, he took home $95.00. Glad to see you
get it Bert.
See you all next week.
