February 23rd

Oh what a beautiful day, and a lovely day for a car cruise. When we arrived at our regular time at Old-town, our cruiser friend, Bill Hunter was already in line. Bill has not been out for awhile. He has been busy with other commitments. His 2003 Ford Ranger really looks good with it's patriotic decor. He is an ex-marine and proud of it. Ken Keel from Haines City was back tonight with his International, he was in the hospital. He is doing ok now. Tom and Linda Spinello from Ray City, GA came down to cruise with us. He was a regular before they moved away. Tomorrow is Linda's birthday. Congratulations Linda.

Mr. Pontiac and Bobby were back after a couple weeks off. Gerald had the flu and still wasn't feeling very good. Last week was too cold for Bobby. George Pennachi was cruising again with us tonight. He has been out for a few weeks. He just got out of his wheelchair yesterday and couldn't wait to get back to cruise with us. He is getting around on crutches now and is looking well. It is good having him back. Tom Coupe will not be with us for awhile, he is having another operation on his leg. We pray things go well with him.

Ward Faust a first time cruiser was out with his 94 Nissan. We hope he becomes a regular. Ryan Fontaine lost his 89 Cadillac. A car crashed into a concrete pole and it fell on his cruiser. He was very lucky he was not in it. The car was totaled but this story has a happy ending. He found another 89, only 10 miles from his home, which was a lot like the one he lost. It was even the same color and the insurance paid the cost of it.  It was good to see Ken and Wanda out with their pace car. Doug was out but worked late and did not cruise. This was Bert's last night as cruiser of the month. He did a good job leading the cruise.  Dave Garceau is recuperating from his shoulder operation. He is still sore but doing well. He will be out for a couple more weeks. Repeatles were on stage tonight and the Dukes were down on the  corner of block 4. It sure was good seeing them back and we want to thank Old-Town for letting them come back.

We had 164 cruisers out tonight. We want to thank all of them and our staff for another safe cruise. Our Cruise-O-Matic was $25.00 tonight. Joe had 9 numbers pulled. No takers tonight. Our 50/50 was $116.00 and number 03288 was the winner. A happy spectator won it.

See you all next week.
