February 2nd

After the devastating storms all around us, the weather cleared up very nicely for our Friday Night Cruise. We arrived at our regular time followed by Stan with his Pacer. Then the two Dave’s were next in line, Wolfman and Sue, Tom with his Mustang, Paul and Joe, and of course Bobby with his Cougar. This is the first time Buzz and Sue were out since her accident. We are happy to report that she is OK. These are the early cruisers who come early to socialize with one another. After all, this is what it is all about.

After we all found our spots, Bobby and Stan joined us at Burger King. Dave and Esther went to the Blue Max, they wanted something different. We want to thank Bob again for delivering the cruising magazines. This keeps us up to date with our report. Next week will be a little hectic, we have a 4 day Chevy Show coming in. Our staff did a good job with the Corvette Show and we expect they will do the same for this one. We are disappointed in losing our trophy row parking after the cruise.

Bert and Laverne are our new Cruisers of the Month for February. Their Probe looks good in that cruiser spot. They also had a very nice framed picture with them and the Probe. This picture will also be in the Cruise News. Good idea Bert.

Mr. Pontiac was back tonight after being in the hospital with double pneumonia. He still wasn’t feeling up to par, but good enough to cruise with us. Dave Garceau, cruiser of the month for January, will not be with us for at least 4 weeks. He is having his shoulder replaced. We hope all of your prayers go with him. We are glad he won a flag tonight to cheer him up. He will be in Tampa General Hospital. Tom Coupe promised he will be back with his Green truck next week. He is also having medical problems. Good luck Tom.

Eddy and the Cruizers were entertaining on stage tonight. They were having a little trouble with their sound system. They are still one of our favorite bands. Our 50/50 of $74.00 was won by Larry Fabiano. He is vacationing from N.Y. Our Cruise-O-Matic will go to $175.00 next week. We had 91 cruisers tonight.

See you all next week.
