January 5th
A beautiful dry Friday night for a cruise. After a couple of wet ones it
was great to have a warm and dry cruise. When we arrived the clouds came
in and it looked like another rainy night but by 5 o'clock it cleared
up. We had 152 dry and happy cruisers. All the regulars were lined up by
5 to get on the
brick streets of Old-Town. After we were all in our favorite spot we
headed over to the steak house on the corner. By 6 o'clock the spectator
crowd was increasing with many inquiring about the cruise. It is good to
see so many interested in our old cars. We had a very good crowd by
cruise time.
Gregg and Emma were out tonight. Have not been out for awhile. Due to
his work schedule, he may not be back for awhile. We miss them when they
are not here. Ken and Wanda also cruised with us tonight. Bert and
Laverne had
their Probe here tonight. Bert is doing very well and looking good. We
hope the best to both of them. We have a new cruiser of the month
for January. Dave Garceau with his 2002 Silverado Chevrolet pickup
truck. His wife Beverly was not out tonight but assured us she would be
out next week. They have been cruising with us quite awhile and deserve
this honor. Congratulations Dave and Bev.
We want to congratulate Richard and Becky. We learned today was their
anniversary. They now have 32 years of wedded bliss. We hope they have
many more. Good luck to both of you and may God Bless you.
Snafu was the band on stage entertaining us. Joe tried to give the
Cruise-O-Matic away. They pulled 7 numbers but no takers tonight. So
next week it will be $75.00. Our 50/50 was $64.00 and was taken home by
a spectator from New Jersey.
Four flags were awarded but only 3 claimed them. We seem to be off to a
very good start for the New Year. Thanks to our capable staff and all
our cruisers.
