"Mustang Mike's"
Saint Cloud Thursday Nite Cruise-In

In the Wal-Mart Parking Lot
Next to the Sonic Drive-In
Saint Cloud, Florida

October 11th

With a few clouds in the sky, Linda & I headed out for the Cruise-In. The weatherman said their would be a slight chance of rain with the cold front moving in on us. We arrived in the parking lot at 4:20, Roger had his '86 Mustang parked in the spot he liked. "Mustang Mike" followed us in and parked the DJ rig in it's place. Ron parked his '61 Caddy in his favorite spot on the corner. Nicky "Bop" only took 3 tries to get his '32 Ford parked. Bill, N2WFU, Virginia, W2VEJ, Trevor and Mr. Lucky arrived in the 'Vette. Tony & Marianne backed the "Black Beauty" their '71 Monte Carlo SS, across from the trailer. Ken arrived with his "Used Car Lot" while we were at the Sonic, eating and visiting with Fenna and the others that were dinning as well, Nick & Francine were home getting ready for the trip to the NSRA event this weekend. Paul positioned his DeSoto under his favorite tree, Jean was out to visit with all the Cruisers. Steve Mc arrived in his '41 Willys, Louie in the '52 Ford. "Cousin John" in his '72 deVille. Coy, a regular spectator, came out as usual as did Dennis & Francine. John had his Samurai parked by Tom & Edna's Greenbrier. Ed & Evelyn came out in their '64 Corvair Coupe, Ed & Sarah were out in the "Shortbox" Chevy pickup. Bill had his Blazer across from Paul. Roger had his '56 Chevy by Larry's Ford. Bob parked his '36 Ford "Humpback" behind the DJ rig and helped out with the ticket sales. "Bo" parked his '64 Corvair next to the '41 Willys. Doc had Suzanne's '72 Charger in it's place of honor, she arrived later in the daily driver. James had his Firebird in the front row along with Bob in his '68 Chevelle. Brad was out with his Chevelle. Phillip was out in his Camaro, he and Tony would do the shopping tonight. Mike & Kristen were out to eat and visit for a while. They were on the Motorcycle tonight, the Corvair is still off the road. Dan & Liz had the '27 Ford "Grinster" in the front row. Curt had his GMC at the bottom of the first row. Roy parked his '64 Galaxie behind Ron's Caddy. Jaime would bring his Cobra out. Dave & Arlene were in the black Mustang convertible. "Big Jim" would arrive just before 7:00 in his Beretta. Ray & Bonnie were showing off the new headliner in the '56 Lincoln. Big George, feeling better this week would be out with Little George in the '86 Olds. John & Jonathan had their '67 Camaro by the Lincoln. Steve, Charley and Marie were out in the '77 deVille. Bert would park his '66 Comet wagon next to Phillips Camaro. Then I lost track except for seeing George roll his '61 Falcon into the parking lot and Al backing his Model A into a spot vacated by Terry leaving in his Healey. We did have several cars that I hadn't seen before and none of them contacted us to register. Maybe next week they will work up the nerve to do so. It was still good to see their cars.

It was a beautiful night with great people. We did get a little sad news, friend and fellow Cruiser, Don Fetty passed away this last weekend. He will be missed by all that knew him.

It was Steve McCullough's lucky night, not only did he have the winning 50/50 ticket, he went home as "Cruiser of the Week". He donated $20 back to the Cruise-In and $10 to this newsletter, Thank You.

The "Cruise-A-Matic" rolls up to $175 next week. Cruiser #71, Joe Sorci, wasn't out tonight.

It was decided last night that we will not be Cruising on Wednesday the 31st of this month, we would give the "Bites" staff the night off to go Trick or Treating. They will also take Christmas week off. The Thursday Night Cruise-In will take Thanksgiving off as usual and the 20th and 27th of December.

As always a Big Thank You! To:

The BOA (Bank) Staff for using the spots along 13th Street - AutoZone - Beef O’Brady’s  - Sonic -  Saint Cloud NAPA - Whistle Junction and all those that continue to support our Cruise-In with Prizes. To “Mustang Mike” for entertaining us every week.

Here are the photos

Congratulations to the winners! Thank you all for coming out.

See you all "Out There"
