It couldn't have been a better day for a Cruise-In, it has been a few
days with the high temperatures below 90 degrees. A slight threat of
rain but this gave us a few clouds and a nice breeze. "Scary Larry" was
the first to arrive in his Mustang. Then Paul parked his DeSoto under
the big shade tree. Nicky "Bop" only took 2 tries to back the '55 Chevy
into his favorite spot. Tony & Marianne then arrived in "Black Beauty".
Bert & "Ernie" had Mom, Roberta and Hank with them tonight. Quintino
would have his parents, Brian & Lisa, show him the cars again tonight.
He can't wait to bring out his Chevelle. Jonathan was back with us
tonight in his Camaro SS. Jack was out but I didn't see "Ole Yeller".
Tonight we would have all of the regulars join in. Both "Looser #1 and
#2" would grace us with their presence tonight as would Don & Lara from
the Seminole Friday Night Cruise-In and regulars at Old Town along with
a few others. Thanks for coming out! There was a John B spotting, a
"Cousin Vinney" spotting. Don was out in his '02 Mustang, still in
search of his next vintage one. Bob in his Chevelle, Nick in the '32 5
Window coupe. Fran & Fanny also brought along brother John on his
Florida vacation. Doc & Suzanne were in the "Tater Truck,. Ed & Sarah in
their "Shortbox" Chevy pickup. Ken had his "Used Car Lot" open on the
tailgate of his truck. Dana & "Scary Larry" were helping Marianne keep
Nicky "Bop" under control. Dave & Arlene were out in the "Mint Julep"
the '57 Chevy convertible. We welcomed a few new Cruisers, James in his
Firebird convertible. Ray & Bonnie in their '56 Lincoln.
There are a few that just seem to come out, not registered that like to
squeal the tires on the way out. Please don't do that! They will be
asked to not come back when they come out again. It seems like the
busier the night the shorter my report. Well the memory sometimes blanks
out by the time I set down to the keyboard.
Allan did the shopping for us once again, a great job was done. Ed
Malloy, Cruiser #608 had the winning ticket for the $112 50/50, he
donated $20 to this newsletter, Thank You!
The "Cruise-A-Matic" rolls up to $100 next week, Mike & Shirley
Charlebois, Cruiser # 347, were not out tonight.
"Cruiser of the Week" went home in a vintage looking Hot Rod, I like to
call a "Scott Rod" because of it's builder, a 1930 Ford owned by Mike &
Gale Murrary, Cruiser #93.
As always a Big Thank You! To:
The BOA (Bank) Staff for using the spots along 13th Street -

every week.
