It was the Cruise that was, almost. Twice we tried to start it up. Of
course it was beautiful when Linda & I arrived at 4:00. Dan Z was the
first to arrive in the "Grinster". Tom in his '89 X Mustang squad car
was out for the first time in a while. Paul and Bill were amongst the
early to arrive. Tony, Looser #2, stopped by early. Brian brought out
his latest Cruiser, a 1967 Chevelle. Quintino was quite proud of the
fact that his dad finally brought out the car. "Big John" had his
Baldwin Motion Camaro out. Tony & Marianne were out in their Monte
Carlo. Louie was in his '52 Ford, Cousin John was in his Caddy. "Bo"
parked his Corvair just where he likes it. Bob, sans the '36 Ford parked
behind the DJ rig. Graham, G4HFG, from Manchester England checked in
over the radio. Little George and Big George arrived just about the time
the rain fell, for the first time. It was very sudden and a lot! It
quickly passed but not before "Scary Larry" was spotted holding his top
while he headed for the overhang at the Sonic. It looked like we might
be in for a clear night after this. Ed & Sarah stopped out in the daily
driver, Bob in his '68 Chevelle and Nick in his '32 5 Window coupe
arrived just before the first rain. John B was out in his 'Vette. Gary &
Wanda parked next to us in their '55 Chevy. Tom & Diane were out
in their daily driver for a few minutes. Bert stopped by to get the
newsletters for Bill & Doris. KF4HRJ, Bruce stopped by to have me
program a few 33CM radios for him and James, KF4IAT. The rain started up
again. the lot emptied out real fast. Ken never got a chance to set up
his "Used Car Lot".
