"Mustang Mike's"
Saint Cloud Thursday Nite Cruise-In

In the Wal-Mart Parking Lot
Next to the Sonic Drive-In
Saint Cloud, Florida

August 2nd

It sure didn't look like we were going to have a Cruise-In today. The rain fell most of the day all around Central Florida. It was raining just a little when Linda and I arrived at the Sonic just after 4:00. We parked under the canopy to see what was going to happen. "Mustang Mike" pulled in a few moments later. Tony B (Looser #1 or is it #2) stopped by for a while. Let's just say that most figured that we would not have a Cruise-In. Ron, Don, Dave, Tom, Dave M., Louie, who got his '52 Chrysler running today, Paul, "Big John" and about 6 others were out in daily drivers. Bob had his SSR, Mark & Beau in their '30 Ford parked near Bob in his Chevelle and Nick in his '32 5 Window coupe. Dave & Arlene had the back Mustang convertible out tonight. Don R was in Ron's spot with a late model Mustang convertible. Bert & "Ernie" had their wagon in the first section. Nicky "Bop" had his '55 Chevy out. Bob had his '36 Humpback Ford at the back of the trailer. Steve, Charlie and Marie were out in the '77 deVille. Doc and Suzanne had her charger out. Tony had "Not Lucy" parked next to us. Dan Z had his '63 Corvair on the other side. Bill was in his Blazer. Paul went home and picked up the DeSoto and parked across from him. Hank had his vintage Baja Beetle across from us. Ed & Evelyn along with Michelle & Dustin were in daily driver, Craig and Mary came out with Trinnie that was meeting up with Michelle for the week. Fran & Fanny brought out Ashley & Daniel, this would be their last Thursday Cruise-In before going home. Ralph & Shirley stopped by for a bit of a visit. they both had been under the weather a bit. Good to see them out. Al brought out his trusty Model A. George was almost the last to arrive in his '61 Falcon. Tom & Dianne stopped by just as we started to have the drawings. Their Model A pickup was behind a lake that was once their driveway.

Even with the small turn out the 50/50 was $103. $50 was given away in $10 increments along with the food giveaways and the items donated by AutoZone. Pat, a regular spectator and friend of the Cruisers had the winning ticket for the remaining $53.

Mike had me announce the "Cruiser of the Month", he didn't have time to do it last week. Linda & I are very proud to have been chosen for August 2007.

The "Cruise-A-Matic" rolls up to $275 next week, Cruiser # 740, Michael Logan wasn't out tonight. Awwwwwwww.

"Cruiser of the Week" 'ole car 54, Bert & Laverne ("Ernie") Brown was chosen with their '66 Mercury Comet Voyager wagon.

As always a Big Thank You! To:
