"Mustang Mike's"
Saint Cloud Thursday Nite Cruise-In

In the Wal-Mart Parking Lot
Next to the Sonic Drive-In
Saint Cloud, Florida

July 26th

It was Hot and Sunny at 4:00 as we made our way to the Cruise-In driving our '61 Corvair. "Mustang Mike" was just parking his rig in the preferred spot just after we backed into our spot. "Big John" was the next to roll into the lot. He was in his GT350. Bob came out in the SSR and parked across from him. Next was Ron, he backed his '61 Caddy into his favorite spot. Tony & Sharon arrived in "Not Lucy" as the tag on the front says. Their '62 Corvair and parked next to us. Paul parked his DeSoto down under his favorite tree. Nicky "Bop" was in his yellow 'Vette in honor of "Corvette Thursday" as the last Thursday of the month becomes as the Mid Florida Corvette Club comes out in force. Steve Mc was in his '41 Willys pickup. Ken parked his moving "Car Lot" next to us. Brent was out in his El Camino. Roy parked his '64 Galaxie convertible in it's place of honor. Bob parked his '36 Ford Humpback behind the trailer. Oh, Happy Birthday Dar! Somehow it was omitted from the list this month, sorry. Bob was out in his Chevelle, Nick followed him in his '32 Coupe. They parked next to Brent along 13th Street. Dick was out in the 2+2 Mustang, still working on the overheating problem. Larry parked his Mustang in that row as well. Dan was seen in the "Grinster". Jonathan had his dad and most of the family out in the Camaro. "Bo" had his Corvair parked across from us. John had his Mustang next to him. Mike, N4HHA, and Kristen were in their '64 Corvair next to John. Ed & Sarah were in the "Short Box" pickup. Then it got a little busy, I lost track of the arrivals. John, KG4BFJ, stopped to visit with the Cruisers. Graham, G4HFG, checked in over the Radio from Manchester, England.

Lot's of spectators in the lot checking out the cars. Cruiser's to be amongst them. The night went on as planned. Mike was playing his usual mix of music. Then about 7:05 the dark clouds that had been lingering in the distance headed for us. The wind picked up dramatically and Mike moved the closing up. We did the give a ways in record time. The 50/50 was $100. Kristen Burke, Cruiser #456, had the winning ticket. She donated $10 back to the Cruise-In and $10 to this newsletter, Thank You.

Cruiser #573, Sean Tolmasoff wasn't out tonight so the "Cruise-A-Matic" rolls up to $250 next week.

"Cruiser of the Week" Went home in a '65 White Mustang 2+2 with Cruiser #413, Dick & Jackie Ralston.
