We arrived early for some reason, guess the traffic was down a bit or
something. It was shortly before 4:00. Even beat Mike and his rig out.
Tony & Marianne came a little early too and also mentioned the traffic
wasn't as bad. The weather couldn't have been much better, for tonight's
event. The cars came rolling in slowly after Paul & Tommy arrived. Mike
(N4HHA) debuted his '64 Corvair convertible with daughter Kristen. We
have all seen the car before but it is now theirs and proud of it. He
uses it daily and has the sunburn to prove it! It is really hard to
mention all that came out tonight. All of the "Regulars", "Snowbirds"
and "Die Hards". Cheryl was out with Steve Mc in the "Grinster" Ed "The
Corvair Tour Guide" brought "Mustang Mike's" Greenbrier, he was doing
some adjustments on it for him. Neil & Elaine came out in the daily
driver, they had been to the Airport to pickup the "Kids" but they were
stranded last night in Gatwick Airport, flight cancellation, in London
so they didn't make the connecting flights over here today, hopefully
tomorrow they will be state side. There was a Alex spotting tonight, we
sure have missed him and his Pontiac for the last year or so. Even a
"Cousin Vinney" sighting. Always good to see every one out on such a
beautiful night. "Hot Rod Row" had Russ and his "Wild Thing" next to the
"Scottrod". Al & Ron with Model A's across from them. Cars filling spots
all of the way to the North to the Stop sign.
The sections above to the DJ trailer were filled as well as the 3 rows
behind. The spectators were quite heavy tonight. Several cruisers from
out of state stopped by in cars and joined in. Bob & Dan were up in the
"Muscle Car, Pro Street Row" up by 192. Nick should be back next week,
he is recovering from surgery he had this morning. It was just such a
great night with a lot of goodwill and friendship displayed by all.
Alex, that we haven't seen in a while got up this morning and told Ines,
his wife, that tonight, "We're going to see family". Good seeing the
both of you out tonight, then in the Pontiac soon. He even did his
'Ticket Dance" before the drawings.
There was a display of very unusual Bicycles behind us, many Cruisers
tried them out, including a 6 seater.
Mike will be DJing in Lakeland on the 17th for their car show. Tony &
Louie did the shopping again this week and spread the prize money very
far, lots of items for the drawing and $126 in the 50/50.
"Cruiser of the Week" went to a Cruiser that is almost always at the
Cruise since it's beginning, most times he couldn't bring out a car
because he had to bring out the DJ rig. That's right after 6 + years
"Mustang Mike" was awarded this honor in all things, his '64 Corvair.
When he is in that we call him "Malibu Mike".
Larry Vliet, Cruiser #204, had the winning ticket for the 50/50, seems
that Barbara bought his tickets with money she won at bingo. He donated
$20 to this newsletter, Thank You.
The $25 "Cruise-A-Matic" gets the chance to roll to $50 for next week.
Brian Troop, Cruiser # 402 wasn't out tonight. It was nice to see nearly
150 cars that made their way to the "Cruise-In" before nights end.
Here are a few photos.

Congratulations to the winners!
Thank You to all that came out
tonight.
See you all "Out There!"
