There were a few sprinkles in the air, even the weatherman said, "If you
are lucky enough to get a few sprinkles, you will", now that is good
forecasting!!! This didn't stop us from making our weekly trip over to
the Wal-Mart Parking lot by the Sonic in Saint Cloud but that forecast
and the fact that many wouldn't make it out tonight because they are
planning for the Daytona Beach show that starts tomorrow, 4:00AM comes
early for that ride over. I know "Big John" was already over there.
All of the "Die Hards" were there, including Tony & Marianne, Nicky
"Bop" in the Banana Mobile tonight. Ron A in his Caddy. Louie in the "52
Ford. Paul in his DeSoto, Bill in his Plymouth, Bob in that '41 Buick
and many others. "Bo" was back in his 'Vair, last week at this time he
was in Illinois. Tom & Edna were out in the 8 Door Greenbrier parked
across from Ed & Evelyn in their Corvair. Jeff & Tara were out with
their granddaughter in the daily driver. "Doc" in the 'Tater Truck, just
to name a few. Rodger, a regular at Old Town, joined us tonight, he
brought out one of his "Britt" cruisers. This one was a '72 Jaguar
XKE-V12. Welcome Rodger. Hope to see you out often. "Cousin Vinney" was
spotted. I think he and Tim were having chair races. Bob, out in his
daily driver, assisted Mike in the trailer and during the drawings. This
would be Larry's last Cruise-In before heading back to North Carolina,
Jim & Shirley still have 4 more weeks to come out before heading back to
Pennsylvania. Lots of spectators out tonight to see what our Cruise was
all about. I didn't get the chance to find out who that was in the
Packard. Maybe they will join us next week. We did end up with nearly 60
cars and a 50/50 of $100. The new manager at Sonic, Chuck, made us feel
very welcome at the tables as we ate. Regular spectator, John, KG4BFJ,
stopped and visited with us as he looked around at the cars.
Ron Adamson had the winning ticket for the 50/50, he donated $10 to this
newsletter, Thank You. If Buster & Wanda LaFauvre, #98, would have come
out, they would have gone home with $75 but they weren't. Next week we
have $100 in the offering.
"Cruiser of the Week" went home in that yellow '53 (it's Big, it's
Yellow) Ford Courier, driven by Cruiser #126 Steve McCullough.
As always a Big Thank You! To:
AutoZone - Beef O’Brady’s - Carvel - Dad’s New York Deli - Quiznos -

support our Cruise-In with Prizes. To “Mustang Mike” for entertaining us
every week.

Congratulations to the winners and
Thank You to all that came out
tonight.
