It was a beautiful day, above average temperatures, nice breeze. A few
problems to start, broken down trucks, it even looked as though it was
going to burst into flames. a Big BOAT, on a trailer. Chaos!!! Big John
arrived at the Cruise-In just after we did. He called on the phone, he
thought the Pickup that was parked in the lot between us was going to
burst into flames. John, KG4BFJ, a regular spectator and fellow HAM
arrived about the time the owner came out. It wasn't on fire just an Old
Smokin' Diesel. It wouldn't start so he came to the rescue. After the
"Red Racer" idled some juice into the PRIMARY battery instead of the
secondary one.
Sonic was still closed due to a fire a few weeks ago, not sure why they
are not open yet, hopefully next week. "Mustang" Mike nearly set up
along 192, he had to use the generator because of the Sonic not being
open. It was just after 5:00 that the owners of the Boat came out, they
thought they walked through a time warp on the way across the parking
lot, these locals were surprised to see so many classic cars surrounding
them. Guess they forgot we do this every Thursday nite for the last
seven years.
More "Snowbirds" came out tonight. The Fosters, the Ducos' and the Pry's
to mention a few. Always good to see them come back. It was a little
uncomfortable not having any restrooms except for those at the Wal-Mart.
It was also very strange to see the Sonic so dark and all had to find
alternate places to eat.
The 50/50 of $103 was won by Al Wendling, he donated monies back to the
Cruise-In and this newsletter, Thank You.
The "January Cruiser of the Month" went home with Bob Berube. "Cruiser
of the Week" went to ole number 1, Tommy Slaughter and his '66 GMC
Stepside. Daniel Young, Cruiser #624 wasn't out tonight so the
Cruise-A-Matic rolls up to $100 next week.
Don't forget to sign up with Tony DeBlasio for the 2 up and coming
FACACA road trips this month.
Congratulations to the winners and Thank you to all of the 100 plus
Cruisers that came out tonight.
Here are a few Photos.

See you all "Out There!"
