What a beautiful day! The breeze was a bit stiff but the Sun was out
bright and shiny. Linda & I would make the voyage today in the '61
Corvair once again. We arrived at 4:10, Jack had his Mustang already
parked where he likes it. "Scary Larry" was the next to arrive in his
'86 Mustang convertible. "Mustang Mike" maneuvered the DJ rig into it's
place for the night. Bruce arrived a few minutes later in his Cobra, he
had been test driving a suspension modification and thought he would
check out the Cruise-In. "Cousin John" would back his '72 Caddy into the
handicapped spot to the East of the Veranda. Ron A backed his '61 Caddy
into the spot behind the DJ rig, Dick placed his 2+2 Mustang one spot
over. Tom & Diane would then park their '31 Ford pickup between them.
Bob arrived in his '68 Chevelle SS396 just ahead of Nick in the Blown
Duce Coupe. It was getting dark by now and then the "Wookie" showed up
in his Buick followed by Andy in his '79 deVille. Steve & Charlie came a
bit later in the '77 deVille. Roy had to park his '64 Galaxy to the West
of the other 5 cars already parked next to the Veranda. Brandon in a '68
Dodge Dart convertible joined in with us tonight, welcome! It must have
been near time for the Cruise to end, George arrived in his heirloom
Falcon but then he was followed in by Al in his trusty Model A Tudor.
Earlier Ron H. had Shirley drop him off for the
night, with his broken foot, unable to drive, he had been going a little
stir crazy at home and wanted to get out. "Lucky Louie" was out with out
his '52 Ford. With all the rain outs as of late and chores around the
house the battery was dead when he got into it to come out tonight. The
temperate had dropped to 63 degrees, sure seemed a lot colder than that.
I guess it was the cold front along with the high humidity and the winds
to 20 mph that made it so chilling. It was still a good night, most of
us spent the night in "Bites". Bruce who had left for a while came back
with Pat to enjoy a meal. Graham, G4HFG, from Oldham, England, checked
in over the radio for his Wednesday update on the Cruise-In.
The 50/50 of $35 went home with Al Wendling, Cruiser
#89, he donated $5 back to the Cruise-In, Thank You.
The "Cruise-A-Matic" rolls up to $50 next week,
Cruiser #170 wasn't Cruising tonight. Awwwwww
"Cruiser of the Week" went home in that '65 Skylark and
the
"Wookie" Cruiser #10.
