Linda & I were at the "Square" about a half an hour before Paul rolled
his DeSoto into the lot and parked in his favorite spot. "Mustang Mike"
followed him in. Dan Z, just back from visiting his ailing brother in
New Orleans, brought out his '63 Corvair convertible. It didn't seem
quite so Hot today, only the lower 90's on the thermometers, so it
didn't feel like over 100, there was also a good breeze and the Sun was
behind a few clouds. Ed & Sarah parked their '70 "Shortbox" Chevy in the
front row. Ron had his Caddy next to them. John backed his '72 deVille
into the shady spot to the East of the veranda. Ron H. Parked his Model
A in it's place of honor. Louie backed his '52 Ford next to the Caddy in
the front row. Tom & Dianne chugged their Model A pickup into the lot
and parked to the West of the DJ rig. Nick would park his 5 Window Coupe
by the Model A pickup. The "I NEVER WIN, WOOKIE" came out in his Buick
and parked next to our Corvair. Andy backed his '79 deVille in next to
Louie's '52. Roy would arrive just about 6:00, he had been tarin' down
fences all day, he parked his '64 Galaxie next to Cousin John. "Scary
Larry", Roger that is, would park his Mustang next to Nick's '32. Jim,
fellow Cruiser and Counter man at Advanced Auto next door, stopped over
to mention that he is starting at the Police Academy next Monday, Good
Luck, Jim! and congratulations. Don R, still in search of the right
Mustang, stopped out in his daily driver. Bob would bring out the '68
Chevelle and park next to Dan Z. Dick would bring out his 2+2. Steve &
Charlie brought out the yellow '77 Coupe deVille and parked next to the
Bob's Chevelle. I still think Steve needs to autograph that car under
the hood, what he has done to that car as far as it's detail, is art.
Scott and Soleil stopped for a while in the daily driver. Phil brought
his daily driver out as well. Terry, Jim's dad and fellow cruiser
stopped by on his motorcycle for a visit. Then it was just after 7:10,
George rolled his '61 Falcon into the "Square", now the Cruise was
complete. 18 Cars and a few cruisers with out cars.
Ed Nikki, from "Bites" feed most of the group,
treated us all in great fashion. Thank You to Chris and the entire
Robertson family for having us out.
The 50/50 was $31, "I NEVER WIN, WOOIKE" had the
winning ticket, this was after taking the first "Bites" certificate. He
donated $5 back to the Cruise-In, Thank You.
The "Cruise-A-Matic" rolls up to $55 next week,
Cruiser # 107, Jim DeCecco wasn't out tonight, Awwwww.
"Cruiser of the Week" went home with John Piazza in his '72 Cadillac
Coupe deVille.
