Another Summer day here in Central Florida, it only felt like it was 109
degrees, in reality it was 96. Hot no matter how you look at it but it
sure beats Cold or RAIN! Linda & I arrived just after 4:00. "Mustang
Mike " would follow in close behind us. Louie in his '52 Ford would be
the next one to park. Ed & Sarah in the '70 "Shortbox" Chevy pickup
would park beside him. The '61 Caddy convertible with Ron at it's
controls would be the next one in line. Ron H would bring his Model A in
next. Roy parked his '64 Galaxie 500XL in it's place of honor,
Roy, does that top come down? We haven't seen it that way yet. Bob in
his '68 SS396 Chevelle and Nick in his '32 5 Window coupe would take the
only shady spots. The "Wookie" brought out his "Heart Breaker" Mustang
followed into the lot by Andy in his '79 deVille. Dana would join us for
a while for abnormal support. Don R in his daily driver would join in,
still in search of "Just the right one" when it comes to his next
Mustang. Dick would join the front row in his 2+2 Mustang. Phillip, I
didn't have to work tonight, in his Camaro would park next to Ron's
Model A. Steve & Charlie would park the '77 deVille by Andy's. Most
would head into the cool of "Bites" and grab something to eat. Several
spectators would stop to check out our cars. Al chugged his Model A into
the lot and would complete the Model A Camaro sandwich. George would
arrive in his '61 Falcon just after 7:00.
The Robertson Family and the gang at "Bites" made us feel at home once
again, Thank You. Andy would have the winning ticket for the $30 50/50.
He donated $5 to the "Cruise-A-Matic". Tonight's $30 "Cruise-A-Matic"
would have gone home with Kay Bridges, Cruiser #180 but she wasn't out
tonight. Next week there will be $35 in the offering.
"Cruiser of the Week" went home in a 1930 Model A Tudor with Ron Hood,
Cruiser #15.
It was a total of 16 Cars with 20 or so Cruisers that braved the heat of
the day.
