Earlier in the day we were called with some sad news from Bert, fellow
cruiser and friend,
Clint Olson, Cruiser #175 passed away at his home last night.
Lynn, our thoughts are with you and the family. Clint will be missed by
all.
Linda & I arrived a bit later than normal, about
4:20, we were the first. "Mustang Mike" pulled in about 20 minutes
later. Dave was the next Cruiser to arrive in his '48 Anglia, he parked
next to us. Roger rolled in a few minutes later in his Mustang. Don was
out in his daily driver, still working on a few things to get one of his
Cruisers on the road. Ron parked his Caddy behind the DJ rig, right were
he likes it. John parked his 'deVille just down from us. Ed & Sarah had
their '77 Starfire in the "Front Line". Dick managed to bring out the
Mustang 2+2. The "Wookie was out in the '83 Mustang, "Heart Breaker"
followed in by Andy in his deVille, they parked next to John. Harry came
out sans his Edsel, Roy parked his '64 Galaxie in front of the DJ rig.
The threat of rain seemed to be diminishing by 6:00 and Mike started the
music. Bert & Ernie came out in their "Step Side" pickup. Bob rolled his
Chevelle into the lot followed by Nick in his Coupe. They had stopped by
to see "Doc" at his shop before coming out. Steve & Charlie were in the
daily driver. Al chugged the Model A in and parked by Nick. Dave brought
out a '77 Maverick. Bailey and Tippy were with him as usual. Jeff, a
Thursday Cruiser parked his '36 Ford coupe and went into "Crush" to play
some pool. Then last but not least, George rolled his heirloom, '61
Falcon onto the lot.
At 7:25, with the Sun shinning it started to rain.
Mike decided to move the drawings up and end the Cruise-In a little
early. Ron Adamson, Cruiser #169, had the winning ticket for the $40
50/50.
"Cruiser of the Week" went home with
Dave Meal, Cruiser #178, in his '48 Anglia/'65 VW.
The staff at "Bites" took good care of us as usual
and the Robertson family made us feel at home, Thank you to them for
having us out each week.
On to the Photos...after this
