"Duke" Davis' Wednesday Nite Cruise-In
Brought to you by Saint Cloud "Bites"
at "Magnolia Square"

East Highway 192
Saint Cloud, Florida

In Memory of C. "Duke" Davis

July 18th

Linda & I arrived at 4:00, this was on time for us. "Big John" was the next to arrive in a yellow Big Block '72 'Vette just before 5:00. Roger arrived in his Mustang and waited for his Cruiser of the Week parking spot.  "Mustang Mike" pulled in a little after 5:00. The heat of the day had gotten to him and he rested a few moments before heading out to the "Square". Dave then parked his Anglia next to "Big John". Curt parked his vintage GMC across from the "Crush". Don was out in his daily driver, Jack also came out in his daily driver. Bert & 'Ernie" rolled in to the "Square" in their '66 Comet. Ed & Sarah parked their "Shortbox" Chevy behind the DJ rig, Bob brought out his '68 Chevelle, Nick was right behind him in the '32 Coupe. Ron parked his '61 Caddy next to Ed, then Louie made his way into the lot in his '52 Ford. Andy parked his de Ville next to Louie. The "Wookie" was out in the Buick and parked next to Bob. Ed & Sherry were in their 'Vette. Dick was actually out in his Mustang 2+2, he thinks the overheating problem might be fixed. Harry came out in his daily driver to join in. Doc was out in Suzanne's Charger, Al was the last to arrive in his Model A.

Just about the time Mike was going to promote the 50/50 the rain started to move in. Every one scattered and "Mustang Mike" left the lot just before 7:00. This one will go in the books as a RAINOUT. It had a great start, 16 cars, but Mother Nature stopped it in it's tracks.
