March 21st
What a windy day. Gusts to 31 mph but the
Sun was bright and it was a good afternoon to start out to the East Side
of Saint Cloud. Our little Corvair was the first to park for the nights
event. Chris brought out the cones and blocked off Mike's spot for the
DJ rig. He would like to remind all the the last 4 spots, 2 across from
one another were set aside for the "Crush" and that we should only park
in them if we needed the space. It was about that time that Paul rolled
his DeSoto into his favorite parking place. No Tommy in sight. he still
must be up in Jacksonville. Then Dan Z arrived in his '41 Willys pickup.
Mike set up then Ron H. backed the Caddy in his favorite spot. Later Don
would park his Mustang 2+2 next to Louie that had his '52 Ford next in
line. Other that the stiff breeze and the gusting wind the night was
beautiful once again. "Big John" stopped by in a PT Cruiser convertible.
Dick parked his White Mustang next to Don's. For some reason Paul &
Betty left a spot open next to the White Mustang and they parked their
Mustang Convertibles to the east of the island. That was OK, it gave
Phil a place up front to park his Camaro. Roger had his '48 Chevy pickup
in it's place of honor. A bit later the "Wookie' in his Mustang and Andy
in his Caddy would park near Steve & Charlie in the yellow '77 deVille.
Mark & Carol arrived in their Daily Driver about the time Ray rolled his
'Vette into the lot and parked next to Bob in his '41 Buick. Roy with
his '56 Chevy on the other side. Jim in the GTO came just before George
in the '61 Falcon.
It was a god time for all that attended,
of course the "Wookie" is still insisting that he has a "Buick", we can
all go to Lot Brothers, that has had it for the last several years to
see it, if we would like.
Tonight's 50/50 of $32 was taken home by
Paul Kemp, Cruiser #221. Thank you for the $5 donation to this
newsletter, it all helps. If the old "Iceman" Richard Stephens, Cruiser
#13, would have been out, he would have gone home with the $20
"Cruise-A-Matic", Awwww. Next week $30 in the offering.
"Cruiser of the Week" went home in a
'52 Ford Customline we see out here every week. Number 9. Louie Piazza.
Thank You to the Robertson's and "Bites"
for letting us be their guests. Thank you to all of our fellow Cruisers
for another good time at the "Square".
On to a few photos.....
