February 7th
This was just about the best "Chamber of
Commerce" weather for Central Florida. High of 74 lows to reach the
upper 50's, bright and sunny day. This event is usually what I refer to
as the "Cruisers, Cruise", one were it is a great night for the
participants of these events to get to know one another. Most times that
is true about this one but tonight we had several spectators walk the
lot. They had quite a variety of vehicles to see. Phill in his Camaro,
Gary & Wanda had their '55 Chevy, Louie in his '52 Ford, Ron in his '61
Caddy, Don in his 2+2 Mustang, The "Wookie" in his Mustang, Larry in his
'70 Short Box pickup, Bob in his '69 Chevelle SS, Nick & Fran in the '32
HiBoy, Jim in his GTO, Andy in his '79 deVille, Tony & Peggy Sue in
their Nova, Al in his Model A, Curt in the '48 GMC, Ron in his '53
Chevy, Bob in his '41 Buick, "Big John" in yet another car a '64 Vette
Roadster, our little '61 Corvair Monza, Bill in his Blazer, Paul in his
'58 DeSoto, Bert & "Ernie" in their Probe, Roy in his '56 Chevy and the
late arrival, George in his '61 Falcon. Now that is a very diverse line
up of cars for one little parking lot. Wally, from upstate New York was
out with Ed in his daily driver for a visit.
We all kept "Bites" busy for the diner
rush, had lots of time for talking cars and looking over what had been
done to them this week. This bunch ran the 50/50 up to $47.00, not bad
for a small group. Once the Sun went down it seemed a little colder than
it really was, that sunshine today warmed us up quite a lot.
George Crofut, #208, the last to arrive
had the winning ticket for the 50/50, he donated some back to this
newsletter, Thank You. Good ole Car 54, for the second week in a row
went home with the "Cruise-A-Matic" but tonight it was only $10. Next
week we start over with $10.
"Cruiser of the Week" went home in a '79
deVille, with Andy Billitteri, Cruiser #6.
On to a few photos.....

Congratulations to the winners and Thank you all for coming out.
