It is really tough for a couple of night owls to be anywhere at 7:30 in the morning. This is the second time in as many months that Tony talked us into a early morning road trip. Today it was off to Renninger's in Mount Dora. The event was their 2nd Saturday of the month Classic Car Show and Swap meet.

We met Tony & Sharon at the McDonald's at the "Top of Michigan" Street just off Osceola Parkway. Gary & Wanda pulled in right after we did in "Remember When" their 55 Chevy. Last but not least, and it was only 7:32 when Neil and Elaine pulled in in the Little TR4. Off to a good start! The trip was pretty much traffic free, took only about an hour.

There were several cars in the "Car Corral" and a few in the Show Field when we arrived. While checking out all of the Swap Meet participants sales areas we ran into Dan & Liz. They weren't showing anything, just shopping. Later we went to the big Flea Market and wandered the isles. Some "Finds" were acquired by just about everyone in our group. It then was I time to head back to the "Show Field". "Dusty" Havens in his little Mercury Comet. Seems like there was a UK Tourist that just had to have it. So now he is looking for another car.

We all went to one of the vendors for a bit of a lunch. Then back to rest by the cars. 2:00 came about and the "Hot Rod" Poker was played, we didn't win anythi9ng there. Then the awards were given out. Three out of the four of us took home "Top 25" and Gary & Wanda took home best Chevy. After a wander around the "Antique Mall at the bottom of the hill. The we were back on the road for the 50 Mile trip back home. Neil & Elaine turned off on I4 to hit some of the "Malls" the rest of us headed towards Kissimmee.

A good day of shopping, showing and friendship. A Mothers Day we all enjoyed. As usual when this bunch goes out, no matter the size we have a good time.

Here are a couple of Photos
