The Saturday Nite Cruise®
Established in 1990
Rain or Shine, 52 Weeks a year!
Old Town Shopping Attraction.
East Highway 192
Saint Cloud, Florida

May 20th

This is the weekend of "Mike Kelly's Beach Blast" over on Cocoa Beach. Even though this event is tomorrow many Cruisers make a weekend of it and go over on a Friday Nite. Linda and I arrived at our regular time. Tony & Sharon, Steve & Cheryl, Ed & Evelyn and Neil & Elaine would be joining us later. This was to be the last Saturday Cruise until October for the two British sports cars. Neil & Elaine will be headed back during the week.

Linda and I delivered our Newsletters to all of the regulars and noticed the vacancies left by those attending the Beach Blast. Others were talking about heading over tomorrow. Most of the "Redline Rodders" were in place. Bob & Marge were right next to them, Bob was using crutches today. Seems like something "Went Out" in his hip or lower back. Get better Bob. Ralph & Shirley were spotted as well. Bill & Doris stopped by for a chat.

After the first attempt of delivering we went back to block 4, shortly after Tony & Sharon rolled in. Chris, their grandson came along to spend the day with us. Then we spotted Ed & Evelyn in the Corvair rolling in with Steve & Cheryl behind them in the Ranchero. Neil & Elaine would join us after the 5:00 gate re opening. Don came in his Mustang GT. Ron had the '37 Ford out. It was a bit of a slow start. Gary came out in "Remember When" Wanda joined later after some "Setting Chores". The weather was great, some complained of it being to warm, well that is why I came to Florida as did Linda.

Steve from AAG was proud to show off his new "Crate Motor" in his Rat Rod. Mike T. mentioned that Jack & Donna joined the ranks of the "Cruise Staff" today. Mike and Kathy only have a few weeks left with us here at Old Town, Mike said he would take a few Saturdays off before getting involved with a Cruise in Tennessee. Richard said, "That won't last long". Ron & Shirley Hood had their '53 Chevy out today, They are only about 10 days or so from leaving on their "Big Trip". Headed out just after Memorial Day and the official welcome of their latest grandchild.

By Cruise time there were nearly 250 cars ready to hit the bricks. We had V.I..P's in the back of our Ranchero. Grandson's Billy & Karl along with their friend Jacob. They sure enjoyed waving at the tremendous crowd that had assembled along "Deac Hundley Blvd." This weekly event continues to WOW the crowd each and every Saturday Nite.

Thank You to the Sponsors, Merchants, Cruise Staff and the Cruisers of Old Town for yet another great and Safe Day out, in Old Town. Don't forget, In two weeks, Old Town's "Saturday Nite Cruise©" Sweet Sixteen Cruise....
