I know it is suppose to be Spring, but
the weather forgot to start acting like it today, another Cold Front
made it to the "Sunshine State" yet again. The Sun was out and it looked
quite beautiful but the wind sure mad it seem cold. Brrrr.
Linda and I rolled into Old Town at about
2:30, Gary was at point today, seems like Tommy had to go to Daytona today. Mr.
Bill and Miss Lisa were not by the Coffee shop, the actually registered us
in by "Cruise Control". The National T-Bucket Alliance was keeping them very
busy as was the handling of the other two clubs that were going to bringing out
cars today. Bill, Virginia and Trevor were the only other regulars from our
group to join us in block four. Gary & Wanda as well as Mike and Carol were sent
up to block four. Everyone else had other duties for the day. Steve had to take
Neil & Elaine to the Airport then Cheryl out to dinner. Happy Birthday, Cheryl.
We were surprised to see Mike and Carol, we thought they already made the move,
next week is the actual date, you will be missed.
Always a jumble when ever we have visiting
clubs or organizations. The "Die Hards are relocated to "other" spots. Many
convertibles were needed to "Parade" the group of National Rollercoaster riders
that were in "Town" today. The "Drop Your Top" gang have been in the spots that
we used to occupy. Roger and John were up where Bob, Larry and Butch usually
park and Ben Franklin was no where to be seen. He is looking for another car so
he was probably in Daytona.
The Cruise Staff was a bit jumbled as I had
mentioned a little earlier. Joe had his knee surgery on Thursday, he is doing
fine, just a lot of pain from the replacement, that is to be expected. Lee did a
good job later in the evening taking Joe's spot in the event. Linda & I were
recruited to help out in the lower part of block four as Ben was needed in the
Spectator parking lot. "Ernie" Brown and Donna Hendricks were a couple other
Cruisers that also helped out. Even with us rookies Mr. Bill, Lee, Richard, Ben,
Ron and the rest of the staff along with Mike T. gave us another safe and
fun Cruise. Thank You to Miss Lisa for the winners lists for Friday and Saturday
so that I could come home and have this on the Internet before most of the
"Cruisers" make it home.
At 8:32 nearly 350 cars made their way past
"Kids Town" on to the Bricks of "Deac Hundley" Blvd. for yet another running of
this tradition, The "Saturday Nite Cruise
Congratulations to all the winners! See you all "Out There".
