September 8th

The weatherman was calling for rain when we left for Old-Town but as the evening wore on the clouds thinned out and it turned into another beautiful evening for our Friday Night Cruise. Somebody up there must like us. As usual
the regular early birds were there by 5 o'clock. Ralph , Shirley and Wolfman was there to greet us. We sure got a surprise after that. Two of our cruising buddies who we haven't seen in quite awhile showed up. Bill Azar drove their 84 yellow corvette down from up north. He is flying back Wednesday. He and Virginia will be back in October to resume their regular cruising. Bill is a regular Saturday night cruiser and now we have Virginia and her beautiful yellow corvette for our Friday Night Cruise. Welcome Virginia and we are glad to have you cruise with us. Also we had Ray and Stephanie from Lakeland with their Honda cruiser, with us tonight. They have not been out for quite awhile. Good to see you out tonight. They promised to come out a little more often. Bill Azar joined us at Flippers for our regular pizza night. He enjoyed seeing all his cruising buddies again but we know he missed Virginia and Trevor. We will be glad to see them all in October. Our Cruise-O-Matic was back to $25.00 tonight but no takers. The 50/50 went to Trish which was $24.00.She earned it, she bought $20.00 worth of tickets. Topaz was on stage and only 3 flag winners claimed their flags. We had 92 cars that chose to cruise with us tonight, not bad with weather threatening rain. Good news, our buddy Joe came home from the hospital today. All the tests came out normal, thank God for that. We hear that he will be with us next week and we hope that is true. We miss you Joe and sure hope and pray for you. Hurry back. See you all next week.
