September 29th

Another beautiful Friday for a cruise. No rain or clouds and not many love bugs to clean off our cars today.  The cruisers were slow coming in tonight. Tom followed us in with his green truck and a few more lined up by 5 o'clock. Stan and Maryann are in Pa. for a week and Buzz has an early cruise Saturday morning. We missed both of them tonight. A few of our other regulars are on vacation but we still managed 125 cruisers by 9 o'clock.
It sure was good to see Joe back on the job tonight. He is looking good and seems to be happy to be back on the job again. We miss any of our staff when they are not with us. After we got on the street of Old-Town we joined Ralph and Shirley at Fred's Sports Grill for our evening meal. Fred was not there tonight but Randy greeted us with his usual good will. If you haven't tried Fred's Sports Grill you are missing a good meal and plenty of it. Ryan Fontaine was out with his black Caddy. He would of brought his gray Caddy out but it had a gas leak so maybe he'll have them both out next week. His wife and little son accompanied him tonight. Tonight was Ed Guglich's last night as Cruiser of the Month. He said, "I'm going to miss that parking space." Our Cruiser Debbie will be gone a week, she is going to Houston to see her son James, who was also a Friday Night Cruiser. He is going to college there. Our Cruise-O-Matic was back to $25.00. Joe pulled five numbers but could not give it away. Our 50/50 was $58.00 tonight and went to our cruiser John. Spend it wisely John. The T-Birds were entertaining us on stage tonight. They are one of the better bands. Another safe cruise and we want to thank our staff for keeping it that way.
