Another successful and safe cruise for a Friday Night has rolled
around and a special thanks to our capable staff for keeping it that way. Good
job. We arrived at our regular time and by 5 o'clock regulars were all in line.
Our little group selected the steak house on the corner (Burger King) for our
evening meal. The chicken salad is very good. After our evening meal, we
returned to our car to remove the many love bugs that had accumulated on the way
to Old Town. We were not the only one, seems like most of the cruisers were
doing the same thing. We are glad they only come twice a year.
As we admired the cruisers we found a newcomer. Jeff Rayside from Dr. Phillips
came out with his beautiful pearl white 1984 Cadillac convertible. This cruiser
has been completely restored and a modified trunk and under dash section adds to
it's beauty. The brown leather interior really sets it off. Good job Ray.
Joe Rodhouse is still not with us. We miss you Joe and hope and pray that you
will be back with us in the near future. We miss Bert and Laverne who are on
vacation. Hope they have a good one. We also miss Richards Monte Carlo in the
cruise. He is making some improvements on it. We had a good turn out of 132
cruisers tonight. Also there The 3D Band entertained us on stage tonight. Our
50/50 of $82.00 again went to Gerald (Mr. Pontiac) or as we call him (Mr.
Lucky). He did buy 20 tickets tonight. Put it to good use Gerald. Our
Cruise-O-Matic of $75.00 went to Chuck and Jade Baker. They are regular Friday
and Saturday Night Cruisers.
Congratulations to you both. Richard is getting pretty good at giving our money
away. He only had to draw 4 numbers tonight. This closes another Friday Night.
See you all next week.
