The Friday Nite Cruise
At Old Town
West Highway 192
Kissimmee, Florida

September 1st

Rain, rain, all around but we had a beautiful night for our Friday Night Cruise, all 116 of us that braved the threatening weather. We arrived at our regular time just as the storm was leaving Old-Town. Buzz and Sue, Stan and Mary Ann and Bill Hunter were already in line. We were glad to see Bill back, he has not been with us for several months. We had time to clean our vehicles off after the rain and before 5:00 o'clock. Ralph, Shirley, Stan, Mary Ann and of course we wandered over to Flippers for our regular Friday Night Pizza. Our favorite server, Annette waited on us and did a very good job. We found Bert out of his wheel chair and walking around with his walker. He was doing a very good job of it. Sure was good to see him drive in the cruise. Ken, Wanda, Gregg and Emma were out tonight, first time in quite awhile. Hope to see them more often. Block 4 was low tonight, only 4 of the cruisers parked there. Of course, Mr. Pontiac, was in Kentucky. Ed Guglich is our cruiser of the month for September. Congratulations Ed. Your red Mustang looked good under the Friday Night banner. Lucky Stan walked away with another flag tonight, making it 2 in a row. Someone must like that little blue Pacer. Another flag went to our friend Joe Ness. Buzz and Sue were celebrating their 46 anniversary tonight. We hope them the best of luck and many more happy years together.

We have some bad news to report, our friend Joe Rodhouse slipped and fell while doing his job. We know he hit his head, he wanted to stay on for the rest of the cruise but his daughter persuaded him to go to the hospital. We are glad he went. We pray that nothing is seriously wrong with him. Hope he is back tomorrow night.

Congratulations Richard, you finally gave away the $1,000. The lucky lady was Samantha Stahl. She has only been cruising since February. Her boyfriend James and his mother are also Friday night cruisers. She is going to college and we are sure the money will come in handy. Our 50/50 was $75.00 and was won by a spectator. Remember to keep Joe in your prayers. See you all next week.

On to the flag winners

Tonight's random drawing winners that and received the coveted "Old Town Checkered Flag" along with $25 cash and a drink from the Tropical Breeze.

Congratulations to the Checkered Flag Winners!
