It was a cool November night for our Friday Night Cruise. We still had 97
beautiful cruisers on the streets of Old Town tonight. No rain so we had a
beautiful night for our first November Cruise. Bobby Holder, our November
Cruiser of the Month was in the spot light tonight. He had his 73 Cougar shined
and ready for the event and he did a good job leading our cruise. Thanks Bobby.
Our Thunder Bird is under the weather so we had our 87 S-10 Pickup with us
tonight. The regular early birds trailed us in and by 5 o'clock we had a full
line waiting to get in. After parking we headed for Fred's Sports Grill for our
evening meal. Jud, our server took very good care of us. Our food was on time,
hot and very delicious, and plenty of it.
Our friends, Juan Molina and wife Leidis, from Puerto Rico found us on the A & W
corner. He comes in once a year and always looks for us at Old-Town. He brought
his mother and father with him and will only spend one week here. He has a jeep
cruiser at home and hopes to bring it to Old Town someday. It is always good to
see them.
We were saddened to hear that Rutha, a friend of all our cruisers, had passed
away. We want to send our sympathy to her family and friends. She will be missed
by all our Friday Night Cruisers.
Block four had only 4 cruisers by cruise time. Some of the regulars did not show
up. Dave Skord's Mercury was sort of sick tonight and of course Bobby's Cougar
was in it's position as cruiser of the month.
Samantha, with her Scion, was back after two weeks in Houston and New Jersey.
Debbie was still out doing other things. Should be back next week.
Our 50/50 which was $58.00 went to a spectator, Sandy from Lakeland. Spend it
wisely. Also, our Cruise-O-Matic
was $50.00 this week. After pulling 6 numbers Joe gave it away to Fernando Diaz
a lucky cruiser. Joe is getting better at giving away the money.
Remember, if you have a car between 1973 and 1987 that you are proud of, bring
it out and cruise with us on Friday Nights. We will be glad to welcome you into
our group. We think you would enjoy. Snafu was on stage entertaining tonight.
We want to thank all the Merchants and Old Town for sponsoring
our cruise. We also want to thank our staff for all they do for us. We welcome
the new arrivals.
See you all next week.
